Does anyone know if Lin Mu Ran’s character is significant in the story? We know so far that ye li saved him before. After the accident of ye li he just disappeared again. Is he going to pair up with the sister?
MXY spending time with his wife because he thinks she only lost her maid. Imagine when he finds out the she lost her clan and live alone. Anyone would go mad after that. 😭
Wow, this is getting truly captivating! I didn’t even realize I had finished episode 15 already. I love how each episode reveals something new and exciting.
Ye Li stands out as a very unique female lead character. I'm so glad Bai Lu is playing her, coz she's perfect for the role.
I appreciate the subtlety in the storytelling and how it keeps the plot full of surprises. You can never fully trust what everyone says because actions speak louder than words. Everyone wears a facade, even the queen dowager. She’s evil, yet sometimes shows a softer side, as if she’s unsure about what really happened in the academy, and maybe just doing what a ruler must to stabilize the dynasty.
I'm also intrigued by all the characters. Everyone seems to have an agenda. I don’t even dislike the SML in this story. He's been a victim too. He was weak and just a child when he lost everything. I hope one day he’ll learn to love ye lis’ sister and let Ye Li go.
I really like the ML here. Sometimes he feels like a side character, but they've crafted him into someone FL can truly rely on. You feel disappointed when he’s upset and happy when he smiles. He’s calm, intelligent, and not your typical unbeatable hero. We see what he's been through, and it’s clear you want him to find happiness.
Crown Prince died so there was no officially elected heir to the throne...Current Dowager was the Empress at that…
Which is also weird for me. I feel like his father as the crown prince should’ve already established himself and gained the majority court support. Unless he was also disliked as the crown prince. Btw, the queen dowager actress is really beautiful. First time seeing her in a drama.
I have a question for novel readers: if the second male lead was the son of the late crown prince, why didn't he inherit the throne? Why is the queen dowager so powerful that she seems to have control over everything, and why was there no war before the next emperor took the throne?
It’s so nice seeing MXY’s POV. It was shown nicely. It broke my heart when they showed that YL was talking to herself. I love both leads so far. I hope they get a proper revenge.
Unpopular opinion: I'm just not feeling the hype for this one. The romance lacks chemistry, the characters feel…
As someone loving this, yup the plot is mid. Lol
But if you need to watch a feel good romcom, with beautiful people and unrealistic setting that makes your heart flutter, makes you smile like you’re crazy, with that old kdrama vibe, this is it!
It has that forget reality moments in it. That’s why it’s popular😉
A prime minister has many issues to deal with. But, this PM seems to linger around the palace every hour. A PM…
My thoughts exactly! Lol! They made him seem like a royal secretary. Like all these scandals, I don’t think he should handle this personally. I’m sure there should be a team responsible for those.
The way he was trying to meddle in their affairs even in the middle of the night was funny. And it was amusing when the grand prince and princess were sitting across from him in his office. It’s like a father reprimanding his children.
Like isn’t there anything more important to do in that country?! Maybe it was a peaceful version of Korea.
If he releases the official verdict of the late king all their problems will be solved. He can protect them all. His nephew isn’t even happy being king. I bet it’s better for him to just be a kid first. I don’t understand what’s holding him back at this point. And all this time being reagent and bidding his time, he haven’t made any connections apart from his secretary?!
Anyway, I need to remind my self that this is a romcom and should not expect a deep plot from this. Ughhh this episode is such a downer.
My main suspect is the PM, and he’ll be the main villain. After the palace investigation he got hold of the marriage contract and the verdict of the late king as well.
But there could a plot twist. It could be Ian himself that leaked it. It’s all part of his plan to bring order to the monarchy and he’s working with the PM.
Maybe it’s just me, but after watching ep 7 and 8 I have this feeling that the PM will be the main villain. I really hope I’m wrong.
Btw, it’s funny how drop dead gorgeous are the queen mother and the PM in the royal wedding. I can’t completely hate them, their pretty privilege is ooozing. Lol

I hope this will be consistent til the end.

Imagine if the grand prince is ugly and just standing there doing nothing. Lol

I don’t even know this actress, but even beside IU, she stands out.

What are your theories?
