as per the novel they were previously the imperial family
Thanks! but why did they become so twisted? And who’s their real target?

Can someone please tell me the background stories of the Sui Brothers? Why are they both so crazy? Were they abused? And who’s their real enemy? They don’t seem to have a direct grudge with the ML. They are just obsessed with certain women.

why isn’t she getting any lead roles on high budget dramas? she’s always a standout everytime she appears no matter how small her role is. Is it manager or agency factor?

PMY is my OG, but she’s barely recognizable with how much weight she’s lost. I’m really struggling with…
PMY's weight in this appears to be tied to her role. If you watch closely, you'll notice her vomiting after eating and even at the bar, where the bartender comments that she doesn’t eat. She might be struggling with depression and eating disorders like anorexia or bulimia, which could explain her sudden and extreme weight loss.

Apart from Korea's unrealistic beauty standards, being thin is considered the norm for actresses there, actually not just in Korea, also in East and southeast asian countries.

I’m genuinely intrigued by this series. My only issue is the auction house, which probably holds billions of dollars in assets, seems surprisingly unsecured. The male lead freely comes and goes as he pleases, and his way of interrogating already feels like stalking. He keeps accusing the female lead of murder based solely on hunches, without solid evidence. They want him to come across as brilliant with an unconventional approach, but it just comes across as overly dramatic. Still, I hope this series can help me break out of my drama slump. I'm rooting for it! I really love the female lead.

Wang Chu Ran truly is a goddess, absolutely stunning. And Cheng Lei? Now I understand why everyone is so obsessed with him. This series is light and fun, but what really stands out are the performances; both the leads and supporting characters deliver excellent acting. The story drags a bit in the middle and feels rushed at the end, but overall, I thoroughly enjoyed it. I'm definitely going to check out more series featuring Cheng Lei and Wang Chu Ran. I’m a new fan now!

I'm not satisfied with that little boy Crown Prince... what happened to him?
I’m curious too.

I’m surprised that bai lu doesn’t have a movie yet. Are movie actors different from series actors in china? I watched her in Northward, she can definitely make great films.

So, the ML and FL are from the real world. Are there any other characters that are the same? I need spoilers from book readers.🙏🏼

ughhh they kept on pushing with SML. it’s really weird to be friends with someone for years then to suddenly decide to pursue her once she’s pregnant with someone else. give him anothe love story and progress the love story of the lead couple.

I’m really enjoying this and glad I didn’t pay attention to the negative comments here. It has a nostalgic old K-drama vibe—those kinds we used to love. Sure, there are plenty of clichés, but the male lead comes from an era when that was the norm, and they pull it off effortlessly. It’s fun and charming.
On Can This Love Be Translated? Jan 24, 2026
Unpopular opinion, but I actually prefer the second ML and Do Ra Mi's characters more. That might change in later episodes since I’m only up to episode 9, but right now, the second ML is really cute and not at all irritating. I also appreciate that the second couple is getting more screen time than the main leads. Their story is becoming increasingly interesting, and I find myself wanting to see where it goes. Of course, I recognize that my opinions might change as I catch up with more episodes.

Could someone please explain what happened in episode 6? After Ju Ho Jin spoke with Sin Jo Seom, he ran after Cha Mun Heo. They talked, and she confessed her feelings to him again, which made him angry. I don’t understand it. I thought he was starting to like her. So, what’s he sulking about? Am I missing something here, or are the subtitles just not accurate?

I don't understand the low ratings. Sure, you may not like the ending, that’s just your opinion. But it's hard to grasp how this show's score can be so low when the acting is truly outstanding, the production quality is top-notch, and even the guest stars leave a lasting impression. The story keeps you guessing until the very last moment, and it all comes together as a fantastic show. Let's make sure we give it the recognition it genuinely deserves.

i don't get the ratings because yes it was good initially but then this is just repeating in circles almost all…
Yeah, they tend to drag it out too long. You can skip episodes without missing anything important.

Do you guys think she felt sad when In Kang died? Sometimes I think she doesn't feel anything but then I see her…
She may not have loved him deeply, but she was happy with him. That’s why she didn't break up after a year. She loved her grandmother as well. However, after everything that happened and her prayers went unanswered, I believe a small piece of hope within her was shattered forever, and the chance for humanity was lost. She even declared that hope could never exist in this hell. From that point on, she continued her descent to the top, destroying everyone and everything in her path.

I can't bring myself to hate Ahjin. She was raised by monsters and became one herself just to survive. Yes, she has blood on her hands, but she worked relentlessly to reach where she is. She forged something out of nothing and truly deserves everything she gets—damn those who used and abused her along the way.
As for Junseo—perhaps he still retains a shred of humanity. However, he’s a gentle psycho who manipulates others. He can't bear the idea that Ahjin might finally break free from societal shackles and live independently. So, he chooses to bring her down. Every time Ahjin begins to rise, he does something to pull her back into his grasp, ensuring she’ll need him again.
The only person here who might truly deserve a happy ending is Jae Oh. But perhaps the path he's taking is his own version of happiness—his ending.

This series? Absolutely riveting. Every episode is heart-pounding and unpredictable, right down to the shocking endings. It’s not perfect, but it’s raw and real—filled with twists that these crazy characters might actually pull off. There’ll never be a true happy ending for these psychos. But still, it’s their story. Sometimes, goodness doesn’t triumph, and evil isn’t always punished.
I love this series. Massive respect to the cast and crew. Even the guest appearances blew my mind. Bravo!
