I just wanted to say this, initial reactions are always the worst reactions you’re gonna get. It’s not like we won’t be seeing Jung So Min in all upcoming episode, we haven’t even reach halfway through, now if you think that story or the chemistry, the characters, the acting is not in it for you anymore then feel free to drop.

We are here to enjoy the drama, we can only criticize when it happens, you can complain when something happens to the story and you didn’t like it. We agree to disagree.

I just want to say calm yourself down and let it all pass through, if you are willing to wait for it to end before going back to it, do so. If you wanted to wait to see the ending if it’s happy or not, do so. Do what makes you think will put your mind at ease. Let those of us willing to go through this episodes even with the news still go on.

If we look more behind the scenes, the show main problem was getting a rookie actress that needed to be able to differentiate and carry 3 personas ( as Naksu, as Mudeok, as Naksu’s interpretation of Mudeok). If they have gotten a veteran actress in the first place, all these problem of changing main actress for season 2 wouldn’t even be presented.

Clearly the moment they had to change actress, they had to come up with something else. Jung So Min stepped in for the role but ultimately she did not prepare for Naksu meaning she didn’t study action scenes before the show. She can few moves but not totally how Naksu could have done without proper training.

We can say, she can do body double, but Korean audience are smart, she would end up getting bashed if she were not able to do most of the action scenes. Goo Yoo Jung was able to prepare because the role was hers in the first place. The rookie actress must have prepared, she could probably even do the action scenes as to why they took her but the emotions are something out of her league because again she aint just playing one person.

Jung So Min looks like would be gone when we reach the story where Naksu gets her powers back. They are most likely able to sign her in with the promise of her not having to do intense action scenes.

How exactly are gonna make this work with the Orig. Naksu actress??? if they didn’t burn the body sure, but they did. Isn’t it to be just too much of a fantasy then? idk I just want them to properly wrap the season 1 like please I’m begging

So since we are not following any biology logic on Jang Uk’s birth that means if Jang Uk and Naksu had children, it’s safe to assume it’s not Mudeok(blind girl) but Naksu right? I just want to write fanfiction in my head lol

He only was able to perform Tansu but he is not Chisu level yet. He practice one certain move and corrected the other that he is not Chisu level yet.

Yul might have start learning Chisu but he is not on that level yet.

Levels of powers
1. Jipsu = ability to gather energy of water
2. Ryusu = ability to gain energy from flow of water
3. Chisu = ability go control energy in atmosphere
4. Hwansu = ability to change water to fire and vise versa.

Uk, Crown Prince, Yul are all Ryusu level.

Naksu, Park Jin, Master Heo is Chisu level

Master Lee is Hwansu.

Jang Uk said “your eyes are beautiful” “I meant only your eyes are beautiful” a clear indication that his interest on her even when they met was because she IS Naksu, he didn’t fell in love with her face, he fell in love because she is Naksu.

Out of all Hong Sister’s drama, I would say this has the most well-built foundation of main leads romance. The only couple I truly appreciate in their drama was Master’s Sun, everything else it always leaves me question when and how they even fell for each other, and I have watch most of their dramas.

I would like this drama to be that drama were main leads ends ups to he the King and Queen that the whole land deserves. I watch The King expecting in the end for both to rule the land but did not happen. I watch Mr. Queen and I’m still bitter that they made the girl just kind of took the personality of the dude so I’m not even happy even when they are King & Queen. I watch Love in the moonlight but it just end flowery without much explanation of their future, and most period dramas I watch have either one of the main couple dead. Hoping this is finally the drama where the main leads be the powerful King & Queen they are.

I’m so glad they replaced the rookie actress, nothing against her but Naksu character requires so much work. the actress had to mimic the Orig. Naksu actress, she then had to carry an accent then acts differently as she carries different personas. Lee Jae Wook is awesome as always, even when he acts as douche bag in Extraordinary You, he did amazing, all his works are different take from each other.

The whole childhood troupe was so overdone in kdrama or asian drama. It’s refereshing if the female lead does not end up with someone who she had childhood connection.

Also Yul and Naksu shared like 1-2 days they barely have history lol

I believe the story of who breaks yin yang jade was a bluff, it was just a made up story by Mudeok so she can out wit Cho yeon and evidently have her admit she broke the jade. Mudeok wouldn’t know anything about the relics.

i think Naksu was just special because whenever they check for the blue mark it’s just the around the colar bone, like the servant and the gisaeng girl both were not search through for the mark around their body they were only looked at their colar bone

Also they had sex without taking each other’s clothes? are they saying Do Hwa doesn’t know about switch soul that she won’t suspect her husband body having blue mark??

I feel like Jang Gang has been manipulated by the King and the prophecy he could be because King insisted that Jang Uk is his son

yeah I know the late King’s son is more illegible, I meant to respond by your comment of “ Crown Prince is the son of late King's relative.” saying the current King is the late’s King’s brother not just any relative.

I honestly did not fully understand Jang Gang at this point so we just have to wait for more episodes lol

the star gazer is not Naksu’s Dad, I had a screen shot of Naksu’s Dad so I can keep up with all the character but that is not Naksu’s Dad

Was it ever said that the previous King (supposed Jang Uk’s father) powerful? they made it look like Jang Gang is the most powerful mages? it will make more sense that he is Jang Uk’s father then?

on King’s coronation, Jang Gang had told the king of prophecy of having a son that has the energy of King’s star.

I accept that this is fantasy, but I hope we get logical about certain angles like genetics. If The King isn’t even powerful, it’s not logical for him to have a son that is one. Using logic Jang Uk’s father can only be Jang Gang, he inherits both his father’s looks and abilities. The whole banter about “ugly” couldn’t have been just for humor, I want that as a hint that is father is Jang Gang and Jang Gang was manipulated by the King for insisting the child was his.

Crown Prince is Jang Uk’s cousin (if he is King’s son). The current king is the previous King’s brother which is next in line.

If they knew that the King had a son, they will treat this as treason (as Jang Gang said) which I cannot understand why it will be treason.

yeah that’s what I meant, sorry I wasn’t explaining it right I cannot find the right words, but the royal palace do know about the king’s star, they know about the prophecy right? about the king’s son being born with king’s star? so I wonder if they found something suspicious about it, the evil dude knows something for sure, he probably knows about Jang Uk’s identity since he knows about the switch soul of King and Jang Gang.
