watched first episode and I cannot continue, dumbest fl are the hardest to digest and this fl gets the award for being the dumbest, it's not even humor, it's just an insult to education system, college student but so dumb to a point that she is being thought about the kind of drugs and misunderstood? yeah I cannot continue then, idk how filipinos can stomach this kind of shows
can I ask why WS chose to save Panyi rather than go back to Yujun? it is to signify that he choose the people instead of his family opposite to Manman’s grandfather?
Don't be fooled by idiots saying there is no love triangle!!! As SML first showed up, i almost throwed my keyboard…
chill, love triangle is only if the fl/ml cannot choose between two or love one but is love by another so chose that one, that is love triangle, having others liking the ml/fl is NOT love triangle geez
You just said it yourself it’s from Sang Yan’s perspective. They didn’t focus much on Sang Zhi in this drama,…
you’re lack of comprehension skills is astounishing, I literally just said you cannot excuse it by saying it’s SY pov bec if he doesn’t awknowledge that his sister is grown up, why is acceptable for him to date DJX
Also she is a college student at this point of time she started dating DJX, it’s about the age gap
the styling choice for Sang Zhi failed to make her look mature enough to be a college student and be dating Duan JiaXu, it’s uncomfortable to think of them together, and don’t even reason out saying it’s Sang Yan pov
I’ve read plenty of stories even when you see your sister as always that younger sister you want to annoy, you would awknowledge she grown up for you to accept her relationship with your best friend
it would have worked better if the initial suspicion of Zhang Miaoyi playing Sang Zhi, she can look high schooler & college student like the main leads
I'm curious, I'm not sure about the setting time of their school days and the present timeline.I heard somewhere…
koreans are into mbti, while chinese are into chinese zodiacs (year of rat, ox, tiger, etc). mbti is not a huge thing in china, also they have into chinese zodiacs way back til this day
It is sad and unrealistic, I agree. But instead of going to a park, you came to a drama. What do you expect? This…
because I’m getting tired of yall immature fans who cannot take another person different opinion, yall love to jump on every throat that doesn’t agree with you, I’m not gonna stand by while you bully someone just bec they have different opinion, that is the difference between you and me, and the OP minded that’s why she replied “let me rant”?? your lack of understanding was very clear
some of you need to stop acting like these characters are real that you have to keep defending, some would express critism or dislike and yall acting like you were disrespected just because some do not agree with the direction these drama took, comment section are to express our feelings to this drama, no need to keep jumping on every comment you do not agree with
the biggest disappointment I have for the show is the fact that we are at the situation and place where Wen Yifan is at the era of where she had reassurance of Sang Yan’s love and even verbalized it herself when she had said “I know you will always catch me” the trust and safe she felt for him, the fact that they were already in relationship means that whole trust was earn already and yet, and yet the story still went back to the old noble idiocy.
and yes I truly believe that trauma and experience are hard to just share, I’m not dismissing this truth, it’s true that most of those who suffered trauma pushes people away
at the same time, that plot device was used on her youth, when she is young, inexperience, and much powerless that made total sense.
if WYF is not a journalist, I would have easily accept that decision they had made for her character, but she is, and to be journalist, you have to study the law. With her knowledge, and profession, she made decision to leave instead of facing the uncle head on after she made declaration that she will fight him back if he touches those around her.
I’m not saying that a character is not allowed to make mistake, far from it, a character that is flawed is much more relatable.
but the again WYF also was so apologetic and heart broken that she had hurt Sang Yan back then, so her doing the same thing just don’t make sense in context of the her character so far
it’s not that I prefer the novel where Sang Yan left Yifan bec she didn’t trust him, they can still go into route of Sang Yan patiently waiting for Yifan to heal, but it’s for her to love herself not bec she is running away from the uncle
they made it seem like she is fighting the most powerful person in the country like San Cai did in Meteor Garden, nope, she is fighting off a penniless man, barely have any power than his threats, majoring journalism, but unable to handle the uncle situation was just idk just don’t align to her character, one can have trauma and still think straight, she is an established intelligent character after all.
The timeline in First Frost is correct, they reduced the age gap between the male lead and female lead to 5 years…
thank you, so in hidden love (novel), DJX is dating 18 yr old SZ while he is 25? yeah that would be more questionable even when SZ is technically adult bec SZ was just first year of being adult and the power dynamic would be different, if First Frost was following the novel closely, idk how i would feel about SZ & DJX in this version
I think it has been over a year because SY and WYF reunion again at new year event, then now they just celebrate…
that's true, the timeline with hidden love still off even when they were a year since reunion since they have been living for awhile when SZ went to college.
for someone who have previously watched Hidden Love, and now watching First Frost, but is a non-reader of the novel. Can someone make it clear who from both adaptation followed the timeline more accurately?
First Frost Ep 13 - Sang Zhi told YiFan that his brother was not happy of the news she chose to go to Yihe University.
In the most recent episode, Qian Fei's wedding which happens on Ep. 22 of First Frost and Ep. 13 of Hidden Love.
Hidden Love's timeline was Sang Zhi being on her 2nd yr in College (19 yrs old) when she met DJX again at Yihe. Ep 13 of Hidden Love - there is already way too many events happen between SZ & DJX leading up to the wedding scene as DJX realized he was the person that SZ liked.
The timeline just do not make sense as it wasn't even a year yet since the reunion of Sang Yan & Yi Fan - so SZ being 2nd yr in college during the wedding is off the timeline.
For readers of both novel, please tell me which timeline was more accurate?
how was the romance like does it contain satisfying amount or is it like most period drama where it was all pining for 3/4 of the drama and only got sweet happy time towards the end?
Sabrina is pretty and her acting is good, not super great but she’s pretty good, it’s just that she never luck out on her dramas (where she’s main lead), I thought this one would be it for her but I wish she get better drama soon
If somebody finds out about the ending episode please share the link I think they forgot to add it in EP 30 😂😂😂
at this point I'll assume the reason why this was not aired earlier was because they lost the files or footage for the ending lol I believe this was filmed first or at least finished filming first than WIFTY, because Bian Tian Yang still calls Yi Ran as Zhang Lurang
Also she is a college student at this point of time she started dating DJX, it’s about the age gap
