Def agree with you there on The Forbidden Flower! It is an amazingly sensuous and emotional drama that is truly a stand alone one for me...but hey, it's Jerry Yan...what more can we say, lolz...Xu Run Han, I think, is truly natural in intimate scenes and handles lots of deep emotions beautifully so she is very satisfying to watch as opposed to many Cdz whose FLs can be stiff as boards with lip-lock and zero movement.(I am reminded of Zheng Shuang in LOVE 020...the kissing scenes were actually painful for me to watch...)

Haven't finished this drama yet but just wanted to post how much I am loving all that I am learning about TCM! It is such an interesting and ancient area of medicine, and one we in the US have hardly any interaction with. I am also loving how each Episode opens highlighting a different plant and it's medicinal properties. Makes me want to learn more!

You might try Love Me Love My Voice...both are warm with very little angst and have loving ML & FL couples...Same sort of vibe. Both are very sweet "feel-good" dramas, which is so nice to escape to in this crazy day and age! Also interesting that BOTH dramas deal with one aspect of Chinese Tradition...The Best Thing with TCM and Love Me Love My Voice with Traditional Chinese music!

As a relative newbie to the world of CDz I am learning all the time...thank you for this information, as I am one who did not know how the timing goes on the release of Chinese Dramas...For example, I have been eagerly awaiting the drama "Reborn" (with Zhou Yi Ran and Zhang Jin Yi) and it seems to have stalled as I thought it was supposed to be out in June 2024...could this post production stuff be why?
