This drama was truly next level. They raised the bar for BL again. Production, acting, originality, chemistry, everything was on point. I love Sammon and the BOC x Sammon series have been slaying.
I actually liked this better than Unintentional Love Story. The actors really brought their a game. I pray we get a season 2 of their life after ULS because it was too open of an ending for this emotional journey!

I'm really enjoying this series so far and also just started the novel, which is also great so far. I understand how it can be disappointing when youre a fan of the source material and everything is changed in the adaptation-- I just experienced that with the Thai adaptation of Addicted. Luckily I wasn't already attached to the novel version of this when I started watching so I can enjoy both the novel and the series equally!

the series is very similar to the novel in overall plot arcs and character dynamics but the actual details of the story are changed almost entirely, due to censorship laws about portraying magic/gods in modern times. Instead of the characters being mythical beings, gods, goddesses, spirits, etc, the characters are mutants and scientific anomalies that the detectives work to suppress using quasi scientific equipment. So basically anything that was magic becomes ""science."" Now does this really change all that much meaningfully about the story? Not really because the science is very fast and loose and basically functions as magic anyway. There are still snake people, etc they are just called mutants, the other realms are other dimensions, etc.
Can you tell me the plot of the series other than them baging in episode 4? 2 episodes past we have no clear idea…
Okay well from this comment I can tell you are unwell so I'm not even gonna argue with you. But from what you are saying I think it's clear that the plot is going over your head because it is not spelled out in an obvious linear narrative with the characters explaining to you what they are doing as they are doing it. You have to use just a tiny particle of critical thinking to understand that they are setting up a mystery so we don't know exactly where the story is going yet. Maybe you should try some series that are aimed at a younger demographic where the stories are much simpler and there is no explicit content.
This show is amazing. Its crazy that some people are so obsessed with the sex scenes that they cant even pay attention to the plot. The plot is amazing so far and has me on the edge of my seat. Bible's acting is so impressive-- I feel like I feel every emotion that Great experiences firsthand. I will admit I didn't understand Jes until seeing him in this, he has a very magnetic quality and I'm very very curious where his character is going. I love Sammon and BoC so I really have high hopes for this series and so far it is meeting all my expectations.
I honestly am shocked that people are criticizing it for nudity/explicit content. Maybe because I am from the US where many critically acclaimed and popular shows and movies are sexually explicit. True Blood, Game of Thrones, Sex and the City, Shameless, etc are all award winning shows in the US that are household names, and feature numerous explicit sex scenes sometimes more than one per episode....
This quickly became the show I look forward to the most every week. Theyre really killing it so far. The production is high quality and the acting is on point so far.
JD's chemistry is so much better than this show gives them credit for. I love them but I honestly skipped most of the "plot" scenes of this show because they were so draggyyyy
