Finished ep 8 and while there are many scenes that are very cute and the ML and FL are very lovable (visually) together, there are a few things that bother me.
1. Father and son duo are essentially forcing the FL's hand into this contract relationship. This little boy may have a lot of trauma, but the ML should not allow or encourage Xiao Bao to refer to the FL as mom before a mother-son relationship between them is established. Yes, I understand that it's for the sake of pushing along their relationship, but it's highly inappropriate. FL lead also tells Xiao Bao to not refer to her as mom and continuously rejects ML's offers yet neither respect her wishes to stop.
2. Drama-logic aside, why does she need to quit her job? No parent is with their child 24/7 and it's ridiculous that she is expected to dedicate most if not all her time to helping Xiao Bao especially when she is neither his mother nor his nanny.
3. When Wen Gu corners Yang Ruo Wei as she's making coffee in episode 7... yeah .. it may seem "cute" because they are the designated second lead couple, but what he's doing is sexual harassment. The age rating for this drama is 13+ and the last thing anyone needs is young kids thinking this is cute or appropriate behavior.
4. This is actually so common in dramas that it's cliche now but why don't professionals act like adults in their professions?? Doctors being gossipy and purposely trying to drag down a colleague all because of personal issues, ew. And why?? Why are they showering together ... in the middle of the day ... in a hospital room?? Without locking any of the doors?? Isn't that area of the hospital focused on children?? This is also true for Wen Gu's dad's company. Wen Gu comes to work late and unprepared and hits on his dad's new secretary (Ruo Wei) in front of his dad and higher-ups. Can we not have adults acting like children in professional settings?
Ch3 is probably the most tame out of all the channels lolCh7 and definitely ch8 do more risque scenes
Lol From what I remember (I've been an avid Chinese drama watcher lately and only tune in occasionally to Thai dramas here and there): Ch7 does a lot of kisses while Ch8 will/can have characters full-on make out. OneHD is a mix of all the 3 depending on the cast and the subject matter of their lakorns. Ch3 is the most conservative. Actors and actresses in Kim and James' age range do have kiss scenes but it's more the cute, warm kisses in contrast to the other channels.
Why the discrimination? Its about being the enemy or the friend, being the one who is causing the harm and the…
I'm not saying he shouldn't have done it, or that they didn't deserve it. It was a surprise that it happened. Normally in dramas, I feel like they try to make male leads very straight and narrow so no matter how evil someone is, because they are women/children, the leads tend to show mercy. It was just different to see a male lead act without discrimination.
Maybe it's just me, but i was actually quite shocked when Sun:
1. Kicked Lady Jinsi 2. Killed the Crown Prince's eunuch
Not that they didn't deserve it but I don't recall ever seeing a male lead attack a woman or kill a child before. At least not in the harsh way he did it.
I know what you mean. I feel the same way. While I don't approve of her decisions, I can't completely hate her…
Sometimes it feels like he can't even fathom thinking outside of his own little bubble. Like today's episodes when he sees Mimi again and tells her he doesn't like Leyan and only likes her ... uh what? .. he completely missed all her body language and continuous attempts to avoid him because he was so consumed with his own feelings. He's very naive but at the same time, he can't afford the luxury to be naive because of who he is.
He doesn't need to forgive her, she never did anything to him.You mean roam around Chang An freely? She's there…
After the arrow incident, no one knew what became of her. The next time anyone sees her is at the temple after Sun's mother died. At that time, Changge saved Du Ruhui's life so he's since stopped chasing her down. Whenever Shu Yu and Leyan ran into Changge, they kept it hush hush so no one else from Tang knew they met her again.
The next time LSM sees Changge again is in this week's episodes when they run into each other at Changge's mother's memorial tablet.
Trying to be a good soon/person and having a mother with cruel intentions? Or being a scorned woman who's been through hell and back, trying to get revenge yet having a naive, incompetent son?
Unpopular opinion but, I feel pity towards both Khatun and Sher.
They are constantly making promises to stay and live together forever. . . . .so there better not be a sad ending!!! I have faith that the writer's wouldn't do them dirty like that!!
Wait wait so what happened with LSM and changge? How come she can roam around freely now? he forgave her is it?…
He doesn't need to forgive her, she never did anything to him. You mean roam around Chang An freely? She's there as a Mo Bei's princess plus no one knows she's there. Since she's not after his life anymore, she's not a threat so no one is after her since Hao Du and his godfather stopped chasing after her.
Chang Ge volunteering Sun to fight for Le Yan and telling him to beat Sher and lose to Shu Yu is too .... phuauauauauuaaua hahahahhaa. He won't do it because he doesn't want to fight for Leyan even though everyone knows he could whoop Sher's ass and he refuses to lose against Shu Yu because it'd hurt his pride to forfeit to someone like Shu Yu since he can tell Shu Yu likes Chang Ge hahahha
And he even tells her straight up "In front of you, I can't lose to that guy" hahahahah
Then there's ep 39's preview where he's glaring daggers at Wei Shu Yu
Which I suppose would make this drama different from others. Usually there's other love rivals for both but here, he doesn't have anyone else vying for his attention.
The Khan is such a contradictory person. On one hand, he raised Sun and loved him very much yet took Sun's foster-mother away so he could control Sun. He continually boasts about how great Sun is yet reprimands Sher for losing to Sun in the duel saying "You really want a Central Plains' person to rule Ashile Tribe?!" Now, he's getting drunk and lamenting about how much he misses Sun. Such a strange guy he is....
He's one of those people who are just loud yet not actually capable of scheming. I feel like his death will actually be really pathetic.
Indeed, even though Sher did not have such an impulsive and childish personality, his mother's secret goals doomed…
He's super sweet now and practically shouts to everyone (including her) that he likes her. Even when they fought with Lady Jingsi, she asked if he was betraying Ashile Tribe for a woman and he said he's simply saving someone he personally cares about..he's not betraying Ashile Tribe
hahahaha, he's perfect! Now all we need is for her to do the same!
Indeed, even though Sher did not have such an impulsive and childish personality, his mother's secret goals doomed…
Excuse any mistakes since I also have limited understanding of mandarin, but after the pinky swear she said she has to go back to the temple and finish things up there. He tells her he'll go with her but she says he can't because it's only women. He says he'll send her to the door but won't go inside. She asked when he got so mature and reached up to touch his hair. When he grabbed her hand, he said he doesn't want to be without her anymore.
Indeed, even though Sher did not have such an impulsive and childish personality, his mother's secret goals doomed…
They talked it over the next morning and he told her he doesn't want to be without her anymore. I think they essentially made a pinky promise to stay together.
