Well this is just so depressing and yet I don't want to stop watching it. I for sure thought MK knew SS liked…
I can't believe Mi Kyung thought she could buy Sang Su's love with expensive gifts! and she completely whitewashed him in front of her friends! like girl come on!
I wonder if Trolley would have better numbers if dropped all at once? There are all of these in progress K-series…
I think it'd definitely have better chances if that happenes, because although it is good, you wouldn't choose it over and over again on a weekly basis when we're presented with a myraid of other in the face dramas with young actors and relatable stories. the story, subtlety and nuances are capable of keeping you hooked if you start watching 1 episode. but choosing this one over other different and better ones on a weekly basis is not easy.
The level of awkwardness, my goodness. The way they thread the scenes, perfect.1. Episode 8 somehow hinted Mi…
I completely agree and love your character analysis of Mi Kyung. We are so used to seeing the second female lead as a fully black character that we don't know what to make of this grey-shaded Mi Kyung. And it's possible that she's the kind of person who won't pursue him once she realizes he deeply loves Su Young. She may not be someone who'd go to extreme lengths to possess him. I like the conversations this show and its characters are creating.

I don't think Mi Kyung is inherently plotting something against So Young. That's what I like about this drama: that even the second female lead has a personality other than simply liking the male lead. She knows she likes him, and she tells him that quite confidently, and we never see her overtly scheming or even eavesdropping on the lead couple's conversations in order to be one step ahead of her. I honestly feel she is not plotting at all; it's not that bizarre to think that she has similar interests and thoughts to the female lead, but the way she was raised makes her outgoing and a go-getter. The two could've even become friends if they didn't like the same man.
In this drama, I feel everyone is living in the moment: Sang Su hesitates at first, then regrets it; Su Young acts rashly and kind of regrets it; Mi Kyung is being herself; she likes someone and tells him. There ain't no plotting and scheming here, imo.
This kdrama has a similar essence to the slice of life drama, "My Liberation Notes." Su Yeong's reserved awkwardness is just like the female lead in that drama. Nowadays, I prefer these kinds of dramas to the bright and cheery ones that predominate. This is so relatable and close to the reality of the majority of young adults' lives: slow pace, subtle glances, and awkward pauses are the essence of life.
I just watched the first epi and contrary to popular opinion that beginning eps are not that great, the first epi drew me in pretty well. As I was reading all the comments, it's funny how everyone is just waiting for them to bang!🤣 hahaha! the sexual tension is palpable in this one!
What the... I'm not saying that it's a bad ending since I'm glad everyone got their happy ending. But they left…
Totally relate to you, and I also feel it was quite underwhelming. second last epi went by in a flash w/ those timelapses and half of the last epi they were sulking.
S2 was a lot of ups and downs, but thankfully it ended with a happy ending for all. IMO it was underwhelming, the last epi particularly wasn't how I thought a last epi should be; this season we had a lot of extra plotlines which although were nice in the beginning but by the end totally bored me. I'm just glad it was over, and Idk if this is good or bad. lastly the ending also made me think that maybe they'll make s3 coz tiny cliffhanger there at the end.
It LITERALLY changes nothing even if Ji Gu is gay and Ji Yeon still acted like a dick both in the past and in…
ep 10 has eliminated the gay arc, and even if they stupidly make it the reason, Ji Yeon's behavior is beyond forgiveness. Even is she wanted to protect her, it is an incrediby selfish and entitled thinking. although I also blame Ji Goo and So Hee for ignoring this kinda behavior for more than a decade. That is why this happened now. and basically the writers have ruined the essence of the show for me. any amount of reasoning or backstory ain't gonna fix this. most times it was these 3 vs the world, and when it did become an internal fight, nobody was truly wrong. but this time they have taken it too far.
I caught up, and Ji Yeon made me go from 0 to 100 on anger scale in 10 mins. I can't believe they've been friends with her for so long with that history. Men with lose morals is one thing and having a friend who blantantly flirts with your "male friend whom she knows you're interested in" is another. and her reasoning is ridiculous! why did the writers do this to us? even if they fix this in the last 2 eps, I can't forgive or forget Ji Yeon's character flaw and her selfish motives when I rewatch this drama later. for me, they have taken this to a point of no return. I'll watch the end but honestly they have spoiled the essence of this show.
number 12 and 13 really gets me whenever I watch kdramas, imagine tying your whole identity to your employment…
yeah, it really does make you doubt yourself when we are talking about a whole country(almost 70-80%) having such mindset, so ppl who watch kdramas (and other asian ones) A LOT should've a grounding system which shows them what actaul life is all about or it can really f up your mind.
This story inspired by a true story really upsets me. As an international KDrama fan, the way art imitates life…
number 12 and 13 really gets me whenever I watch kdramas, imagine tying your whole identity to your employment status. constantly having ppl refer to each other by their roles, proclaiming again n again you power over them!!! ridiculous! rich really have a god complex in sk. the old dramas really depicted these so clearly when a fl begs on her knees for forgiveness for a small mistake from a richie. This is the thing that seeps into students and makes them treat lower class classmates like they are nothing.
