I just finished episode 13 and I've watched a lot of "boardroom" scenese in Kdramas and they are usually dull as dishwater and pretty darn inaccurate. However, the presentation scene in ep 13 of Misaeng was SO. MUCH. AWESOME. If I had to compare all the "business scenes" I've ever seen in Kdramas, that would win hands down even over anything in History of a Salaryman.

I've seen Bridal Mask, Baker King, & Good Doctor, and even, very unfortunately, Level 7 Civil Servant. So I'm quite well-versed in his work and he is good, but there is something that just doesn't put me over the top about him. Although I will not deny his physical beauty. I think he is still lacking too much in gravitas and perhaps a bit in charisma, although that improved with this latest drama. Maybe he will gain some maturity after he goes to the Army and that will help with what I think he is lacking.

It's funny. I have Joo Won on my list of overrated actors. It's not that I don't like him; I just don't think he is as great as the praise I see him receiving. However, I loved him in this drama - LOVED. I loved him and I loved his character so much. Without him, this drama would have been unwatchable. I still thought it wasn't very good, but I watched it solely for Joo Won, and I've never said that about any of his dramas before. He was mesmerizing in this: at his most beautiful, most charismatic and most endearing -- like a diamond in a trashcan.

Great Drama! Cannot recommend this one enough!

9 eps in and I just have to get this off my chest and since no one I know in person watches Kdramas: I am totally shipping Hyuk and Yoon Hee noona. I mean they would have babies with dimples that went on for weeks. They'd each have like a hundred dimples and be the cutest things in the universe, right?!

(I never saw the original Jdorama, so I judge this solely on its own merit.) So many flaws and annoying characters. That said, I love Joo Won in this and his character. But I think what I find most striking is that there are two characters I don't think I've ever seen before in a drama: the super-nice supportive Dean of the music school and most shocking, Yoo Jin eomma. She is awesome! In the history of Kdrama I don't think a mother like this of a talented handsome son ever existed. Sure, we've had some nice poor moms, and some nice middle class moms, and lots of nice moms of daughters. But I've never seen a wealthy mom of a handsome, talented son be this super-cool! Love her so much!

Half way through episode 2 and I just had to come on and say: OMG THE CUTENESS! I think I may die from cuteness! Love it! Just like I Hear Your Voice, I totally love this too! Lee Jong Seok is awesome, and is bringing out the absolute best in Park Shin Hye!

I love how LMK did 3 movies to be released in 2014 right before he went for his mandatory service! That's the way to leave us wanting more and make sure we don't forget him while he's gone. Cannot wait to see this one. I hope it gets subbed somewhere.

Just finished ep 4 and "HOLY MAKJANG, BATMAN!" What just happened to my cute fluffy romcom. :(

You have great taste in sageuks! Well played! I got about 2/3rds of the way through Empress Ki and even my great love for Ha Ji Won and growing love for Jin Yi Han, could not keep me slogging through that mess. It had it's moments but they came too infrequently and then just disappeared altogether. I also really love Sea God (Emperor of the Sea) - cannot recommend that enough. And Painter of the Wind, to name just two others I adore.

One of those inexplicable dramas where it's not good, many of the characters are annoying as heck, and yet I am still watching it. WHY? I have no clue. For some reason it is a fun breezy watch even though it's not good in really any way (although I do really like Joo Won and Go Gyeong Pyo in it, and I'm not really much of a Joo won fan. (Disclaimer: I've never seen the JDorama version.)

Cannot believe that he went to do his public service so quietly. Not a peep from any of the blogs or sites I follow. At least he did a bunch of movies before he left to keep me entertained.

I really empathize with Geu Rae as someone who has worked alone from home for many years. My heart totally weeps for him. I love him to death even though I do think Im Shi Wan is too baby-faced for this role.

I LOVE. THIS. DRAMA. SO. MUCH. When all is said and done, this will undoubtedly be in my top 2 or 3 Korean romcoms of all time. There is just so much right about it. Plus Jin Yi Han must be having an absolute ball with this character. He is such a natural in this role! Love him!

Can I give this drama an 11 rating? That extra point is for the chemistry between the OTP and uber-hotness of Jo In Sung.

Good for you, dramaqueen745! There're lots of K actors and especially actresses I dislike but but we always have to remember they are just people too. I like to make fun of a bad performance here and there but the optimal word thete is FUN, as in the comments should be funny. If a person has nothing interesting or funny to write and she is just being mean maybe it's best to say nothing at all.

Anyone else who's seen ep 3 as confused as I am about whether the king was really dead or just maybe locked up somewhere to keep from hurting anyone else?

I've never seen him before and was only aware of his awfulness through other people's opinions. I don't know if he is good or bad, but I will say that in this role he is just fine since his character is supposed to be a steely faced fighter and he was really good in his fight scenes!

It has, thankfully, gotten better now that Jung Il Woo is on the scene. Still not great, but I can watch it just for him and be happy. That boy rocks the hell out of a hanbok and gat! YUM!
