I would totally watch this if Shin Se Kyung didn't make me break out in hives. Other than the marvelous Tree with Deep Roots (where I put up with her just because the rest of it was too good to miss), I will not watch anything with her in it, ever! She is so bad it's really beyond words. I cannot understand why they keep giving her roles when there are soooo many better actresses in SK.

This better get a lot better once Jung Il Woo steps onto the screen. It already has a bad odor to me and I don't…
All true, but I still need the writer to show me the multiple facets of the bad guy so he's not just a cackling cardboard cutout. I need to see those motivations and see why he thinks he's owed something or why he thinks what he's doing is right. Even if I disagree with the motivations, I still need my bad guy to have some and the writer has to show them to me and not just leave me assuming. Anything else is just lazy.

This better get a lot better once Jung Il Woo steps onto the screen. It already has a bad odor to me and I don't mean the cheesy effects. I can take cheesy effects all day long. What I hate - I mean really hate - is pure baddies that have no other motivation than just being bad. This was one of the major weaknesses of Gu Family Book for me - the big bad was just EVIL and had nothing else to his nature. It's so shallow and lazy to have the bad guys just be evil BECAUSE. And right now, we've got a whole lot of evil BECAUSE going on in this drama and it's actually just annoying the crap out of me. For examples of good bad guys (i.e. ones with depth and complexity written by writers who aren't lazy, see City Hunter, Joseon Gunman, Story of a Man (I have a list).

Just got done with episode 16 and I think that someone should create a one man show where Seo In Guk just plays all the characters. He really is that good! This show itself has been enjoyable but nothing all that great and I'm very concerned about the extra episode because they really don't need it. But Seo In Guk is GREAT! He's just freaking amazing!

This drama has been boring for the past few episodes but episode 11 is the main reason why I'm dropping it. It…
I'm not dropping it just because I like the actors too much BUT I can definitely see why you are doing it. In a Kdramaland where amnesia is used all too frequently and POORLY, that might be one of the single most gratuitous and awful uses of amnesia I've ever seen! DISGUSTING!

I want to live in this kind of house, it looks so cozy !
I want to live in any house with Jo In Sung in it!

It's Okay...I'm already in LOVE with this show! It's quirky and different and unpredictable. It's a total breath of fresh air. I don't know what's going on half the time and I cannot predict what will happen next and that is a GOOD thing! LOVE IT!
On You're All Surrounded Jul 18, 2014
I have been very underwhelmed by this drama. All it has done has reminded me of how great Lee Seung Gi and Cha Seung Won are and made me want to rewatch them at their best: King 2 Hearts and City Hall or Greatest Love. I wish this drama had been worthy of their talents but it fell woefully short. That's 2 strikes in a row for LSG and I am dying to see him in something worthy of him again. Alas he will probably be gone to the military before that happens. :(

I don't care for Kpop. And normally when people sing in Kdramas it's either not all that good or they've auto-tuned the mess out of them. However, all that being said, Jung Eun Ji can absolutely slay it! Her voice is so beautiful and on pitch and natural. I am so happy every time I hear her sing in Trot Lovers!
On High School King of Savvy Jul 10, 2014
I think Seo In Guk just might be the Ha Ji Won of Korean actors. By that I mean that boy has chemistry with EVERY woman he acts with (the way Ha Ji Won always has chemistry with her leading men). I think Seo In Guk could have chemistry with a lamp post! He absolutely brings it!

Whhaaattt I thought this was 16 eps? How is it 50 now?
I know, right?! I totally got sucked in thinking it would be 16 or maybe 20, but now it's 50?! However I am so addicted that this might become the first contemporary drama I ever watch with a long run. I never watch those epic weekend or daily dramas, but I do watch epic sageuks sometimes. So this will be my first because they totally sucked me in and now I have to see it through; unless it all of a sudden starts to go bad. We'll see!

I love this drama SO MUCH! It's like someone tapped into my brain and devised the absolute perfect drama for me!…
Yes. Even through the cutesy stuff I liked her though because she is very smart and brave. I love Nam Sang Mi and Lee Joon Ki together because of Time Between Dog and Wolf, and I love them even more here.

I love this drama SO MUCH! It's like someone tapped into my brain and devised the absolute perfect drama for me! The perfect cast! The perfect genre! The perfect directing and writing! The perfect number of episodes! How this show is not getting awesome ratings and rave reviews should be a national scandal in SK. If this show stays this way it will probably be my favorite of all time. I love it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Title Repentance
What a great premise and great leading man totally destroyed by weird writing and an episode cut. I've never seen a Kdrama that focused so much on the ins and outs of law and business to the absolute disregard of everything else, including characters, character growth, relationships, everything. So disappointing! I love Kim Myung Min and he did his best as always, but what the heck did I just watch?! And that episode cut did this show no favors with what can only be described as one of the most nonsensical and dull endings to a drama ever. I'll never understand the writing choices in this drama -- to focus soooooo much on all the legal details to the point of me practically falling asleep and just ignore everything else made no sense. It was like the writer was a lawyer.
On Gunman in Joseon Jun 26, 2014
Finally, finally! It was soooooooooooooo good! I love it when a drama fulfills my expectations. It almost never happens. Please keep up the quality!
On Lovers of Music Jun 25, 2014
So the 2nd ep was better. And at least a modicum of Ji Hyun Woo's charm came back. But Shin Sung Rok's whacky, 4-D cutie-pie is what is making this drama for me. His character is just so quirky and hot at the same time, and he plays it SO well!
On Yoo Na's Street Jun 24, 2014
So glad this is getting subbed over on MyAsianTV, but not fast enough! This is the best show running right now and I am this tempted to watch it raw because I love it so much!
On Lovers of Music Jun 24, 2014
Oh how do I hate what Ji Hyun Woo has done to his teeth and face, let me count the ways!? He's like Samson and when they fixed his teeth they took with it all of his charm, charisma and acting ability. So depressing! I loved him the way he was, now he's just bland and boring and stiff and blah. I liked Jung Eun Ji and I think Shin Sung Rok is absolutely adorable in this role so far (for what little I saw of him). JHW was perfect the way he was. I wish he hadn't changed that. :'(
