Why did Harumichi left Yae at the pasta place even after she told him on the phone that she likes him? Why did…
well, from my pov he felt that it wasn't the best timing. he has just broken up with his fiance and needed some time to process everything and focus on himself first. that's why he left japan, to pursue his dream once again, and to let fate bring them together again when the timing is right.
So I'm not the biggest fan of Japanese dramas for different reasons, but this one is worth watching. I'll mention my good and less good thoughts about this drama. 1. As I mentioned I'm not the biggest fan of Japanese dramas so I didn't know Mitsushima Hikari and Satoh harumichi, and boy, they are such brilliant actors. they have made me feel every emotion and thoughts that they had. 2. younger versions of harumichi and yae were so cute!! they definitely delivered the youth's first love, and every time that taisei (aka young Namiki) appeared on a scene, the whole mood brightened up! he's such a gem actor. 3. the story was definitely a cliche, but a good one. I was really afraid that yae's lost memory will ruin everything, but that wasn't the case. 4. Harumichi and his sister's relationship was so pure and wholesome. I loved their beautiful connection and understanding of each other.
Now the less favorite things. 1. younger version of yae did a great job, but I hated the fact the actress is way taller than the mature one. it just didn't make any sense lol, but ok. 2. I HATED the fact that harumichi cheated on Tsunemi. that was very unnecessary and didn't fit his genuine and gentlemanly character. I've felt so bad for her. she was such a sweet one. 3. the sex scene was unnecessary. it could have been easily a 15+ rated drama without this scene but whatever lol. 4. I know that it's probably an unpopular opinion, but I would have been totally ok if harumichi and yae wouldn't end up together. people can grow and move on with their own journey and the return of yae's memory was a little bit forced. also, their chemistry together romantically wasn't so great for me either. actually, the actor had better chemistry with Kaho (akaTsunemi).
overall the series is great. the cast did a great job, and the cinematography was beautiful. it gave me the 'this is us' series kinda vibe, which I like. it's a 9/10 for me.
looks very promising. also, it looks like 2023 is going to be ohm's and Perth's year. Both of them got the best series out of all the trailers I've seen on gmmtv channel for the next new projects.
probably will be an unpopular opinion but I didn't like the final episode that much. too heavy and too depressing for me. they should've developed the mom's disease and death at least a few episodes ago. it was unnecessary to drag it till the final. overall, the series is cute and had a lot of beautiful moments and great acting, especially from Santa. a little bit too draggy and not perfect (for me!), but I'll rate that as a solid 8. I hope to see Santa and earth's growth together in the future, they are great actors!
I really liked fort this ep. he delivered his emotions very well. better than peat actually. I'm not a big fan of peat when it comes to crying scenes. he's way better when he's acting sassy and 'diva'. Also, I feel like their chemistry is on point most of the time, but not always. and don't get me wrong, I do like peat, but I feel like fort convincing me more when it's come to love scenes. I mean I don't blame peat too much, they got some pretty cringey lines to say lol but still. noeul for example did a very well job even though he needed to act very cringey most of the time. above all, they are cute and their story is pretty sweet. and fort is hot as f so i can take everything they got 😁
I've just noticed that they changed the background music in cake's English confession scene in the cut version (the youtube one). I liked the uncut version much better! the background music was suited more and turned the atmosphere into something magical and breathtaking in my opinion. anyway, that was such a well-done and beautiful scene.
That moment when sky tells pai 'please get bored of me soon' (yet in his mind, he wishes pai wouldn't) in the nc scene, really broke my heart. you can see how much insecure sky is, and how much he got hurt by his previous Partners. He is definitely not used to being loved by others. by the way, I loved the NC scene. beautiful and full of emotion.
ep 11 was the best episode so far in my opinion. the argument scene was great and very well acted, and I really like this adultness area. also, I've said it before and I'll say it again- Santa is such a talented young actor. He really knows how to deliver his emotions well.
why do I have a feeling that one of the friends (petch/gun) who showed up in the scene with pai and payu, is actually sky's ex? or related to him.. I mean, they didn't show up for nothing right?
I see some people saying the pre-timeskip part took up too large a part in this series, but I believe it's specifically…
I respect your opinion but disagree with it. I think that With good writing and a stable and strong plot and acting by the leads, I would have been attached to the characters and their friendship very fast. an excellent example is "I told sunset about you" one of the best bl's out there, where both of the leads got me attached to their characters from the very first episode, and it took only five episodes for them to prove their beautiful relationship from friends to lovers. in this one Honestly, there wasn't too much development in the plot until the 10th episode in my opinion. Despite everything, I think that this series has good potential and it's starting to get way more interesting now that they are adults.
I feel like they should have moved on with the teenage area at least 3 episodes ago. it's getting way more interesting now that they are older. don't get me wrong guys, the series is great, but they could have cut some unnecessary episodes at the beginning in my opinion.
I love the contrast between Rain and Sky in this ep. One of them is so naive and inexperienced (Rain) and got "saved" from the mess while being scolded for his irresponsibility, and falls into the trap of the man in front of him when he decides that he will do whatever it takes to make him fall in love with him (just as Payu wanted). while the other one knows how the world works (Sky), and he's the one who sets the tone with Prapai, and knows exactly what he has to do to end the mess he got into.
I've got to say, Santa is a very talented young actor. he's super natural with his acting, and knows exactly how to deliver his emotions in the right way. I feel like he's going to become a successful actor in the Thai industry one day.
let me tell you that I needed to pause the NC scene about 100 times, cause I needed some time to process everything!! for real tho, boss and noeul did such a great job, to the point I felt like I'm third wheeling a real relationship lol.

payu-'rain belongs to p'payu now.' let me hear it.
rain responds to him- rain belongs to p'payu now.
post-credits scene:
payu to rain- "your lips aren't covered. how careless of you. I'll wait until you're ready. do your best. I'm waiting".
that's it. I hope I helped you understand :)
