I feel like too many viewers are missing out on the beautiful message the writer wanted to convey by writing the ending as he wrote. Hee Do and yi Jin grew up together, laughed, cried, had shared experiences, supported each other and eventually fell in love. But is that really enough? Should hee Do live in misery and be disappointed again and again, because Yi Jin has to travel / cancel their dates following his work? Or should Yi Jin give up on his dreams and desire to become a successful journalist for the sake of his relationship with hee Do? The brakeup between them was indeed painful but was the right choice. At least at this point in their lives, they had to choose themselves first , and focus first and foremost on fulfilling their dreams and and their happiness. So that was the right ending for me.
I heard about the crazy hype the drama caused, so I had to see to understand. * In my personal opinion only *, in one word - overrated. Excellent cast, exciting experiences that the characters experience, a refreshing atmosphere of the late 90s, and yet it wasn't amazing. Too many clichés, Na Hee Do was too childish in most of the drama (which made it hard for me as a viewer to relate that a mature man like Yi Jin fell in love with her), episodes that were sometimes too long for no reason... What I did like - the beautiful friendship between Hee Do and Yu Rim, the development of Yi Jin from a Paper boy to a successful Reporter, and unlike most here, in my case, the last few episodes were the strongest one. The ending was self-evident and realistic. After all, from the way beginning it was clearly emphasized that hee do's daughter wasn't Yi Jin's daughter. The process for the reasons for their brakeup was understandable to me. Hee Do chose herself, and realized that she was unable to experience again what she had experienced with her mother- it was realistic and with a lot of message. Overall, I would give the drama an 8/10.
The first episode was absolutely great, i was very impressed so far. And I can't wait to see Vegas and Pete on screen. Hopefully we can see them in the next episode 😎
Excellent movie. Definitely not for everyone, very dark, depressing and hard to watch. I cried a lot during the movie. My heart ached so much for Shuhei and I hated his mother throughout the movie. And the fact that there were so many people along the way who could stop her and help the child break free from her is so annoying. His biological father, his grandparents, the mother's sister, the welfare worker who saw how Shuhei lived and besides bringing him some lame books she didn't help too much .. angry and frustrating, and even more painful to know that it is based on a true story. At the same time, it must be noted the excellent acting of Nagasawa Masami and Okudaira Daiken, both of them played so convincingly that I felt like I was watching a documentary.
I wish Jia and Jin Taek would go on a date in paradise, i mean It could be a lot of fun to see the two most flirtatious people on the show go on a date lol, don't you think so? 😂
I tried getting into Thai BLs but I have to say the quality was really disappointing… from what I’ve watched…
Let me recommend you "I Told Sunset About You", it's not only the best Thai bl, it's one of the best masterpieces out there, and I'm not exaggerating . You will not regret it, I promise! It's way better than Utsukushii Kare in my opinion.
I screamed in the last scene of ep 6!!! pran, this little bastard.. He definitely knows what he's doing 😁 Good luck to all of us in the next episode lol.
Episode 10 just proved that Ja and First must work harder on their love scenes. Although they are both cute together and fit to each other, their love scenes always look the same, unnatural, too reckless and pretty boring. In contrast, pob and Leon provided the audience with an excellent and much more authentic love scene. Their kisses are slower, clearer, more natural than leo and fiat's. I was even excited to watch them. If there will be a second season for the series, I hope the director will notice this and start directing Ja and first better, because pob and Leon are just stealing the show for them lol.
I first came for Leo and Fiat, but pob and Leon completely stole the show! The chemistry between them is great, they are really cute together and I love the pace of progress in their relationship. In addition, pob's background is interesting and adds to the dialogues and development of their relationship. Every time he opens up to Leon a little more, and thanks to that they get closer and closer. Fiat and leo are also fine in overall lol.
I'm really trying to understand the screenwriter's purpose in this drama. What exactly was he trying to convey here? I mean, the plot was pretty realistic and different from all the k-dramas we're used to. There could be such a big message here - that sometimes we think that a certain person is the best thing that ever happened to us, but he is not. And that's okay. and you can move on even though it's not easy. and being single is not(!) a bad thing and can even develop our individuality. Instead, what did we get? A super clichéd and ordinary ending. pretty disappointing. At least the OST was excellent.
No one speak about the Jea eon loneliness, the strange relationship with his ex, his busy mother. Everybody focus…
You just reinforce my second point. The drama is presented by Nabi's perspective, which makes it difficult for the viewer to understand better Jae Eon 's character and also makes it difficult to relate with him. His character has almost no development, it is not clear what his background is, what his past is, what exactly his relationship with his ex is and more. As for the question of whether he likes her, I recommend you to watch episode 9 and conclude on your own. From what I conclude is that he developed feelings for her but to say he is in love with her? I don't think so. it's more like he is related and attracted to her but also enjoys the idea that she is in love with him and forgives him every time. Because if he really loved her, he would release her and he would stop playing games with her over and over.
Well, after watching all nine episodes this past weekend, these are my thoughts and opinions on the drama: 1. Let's go back to the beginning. I must point out that at first I perceived Jae Eon as a completely strange person, I mean - what is this exaggerated obsession with butterflies? A bit bizarre in my opinion. By the way, it seems like he knew who Nabi was a long time ago, maybe she's the reason for this obsession? I hope this becomes clearer in the last ep. 2. I perceive the choice to present the relationship between them from Nabi's eyes as an interesting choice. This leaves Jae Eon's character dull and mysterious, and makes the viewer understand Nabi more and how she feels. However, we are right at the end of the drama and the male character is not clear to the viewer at all. Maybe this is part of the experience the director wants to convey? At this point in the drama, I'm not sure if he really likes Nabi or he is just more obsessed with the idea that she's completely captivated by his charm, no matter what. Honestly, I think he himself is not sure. 3. Why the hell does Nabi not have one good and honest friend who tries to motivate her from this relationship? Everyone around her is so busy with themselves, and that is one of the reasons I think she often makes wrong decisions. The only person who really puts a mirror in front of her face is Do Hyuk (by the way, I really like him and hope he moves on from Nabi). 4. I find bit-na and ji-wan really annoying characters. Both are really childish and also quite selfish characters. 5. This is an important drama. I've seen better dramas, but this one is definitely decent. There is no right or wrong here, she decides what she feels and every decision has consequences she has to deal with, and that's okay, It's part of her life's journey. I really hope she doesn't choose any of the males. She needs to focus on herself first. She just got out of a problematic relationship, and sometimes moving directly to a new relationship (especially like the one she is in) can only hurt. She needs to be healed mentally and emotionally,And only then think about a new relationship. This will be the best ending for me.
Well, after watching seven episodes of the drama, this is my opinion - the drama is pretty mediocre. it started great, pretty intriguing, and then got lost somewhere. Ji Hoon who plays Yeo Joon completely saves the drama with a very convincing acting and an interesting character. also in hyuk plays his character great and the viewer can easily connect to his character. SO Where's the problem? All the other characters just aren't good enough. min ah who plays so bin is a great actress but her character isn't interesting enough. I feel like I saw her character in 100 other dramas that I've watched already. for me, the character itself isn't built strong enough to be a lead female. Also, Mi Joo is completely Unnecessary in my opinion, and Young Ran is a more interesting character than the other two. They should have focused on her more. The plot is quite slow, we are towards the end of the series and it's not clear yet what happened to yeo joon in the past- serious failure! In addition, the chemistry between the main male and female isn't good enough. The friendship between the two males is much more interesting and even makes me think that it's a pity that they didn't develop something beyond friendship between them. the chemistry between them is much better and intriguing. In general, this drama has good potential that simply didn't materialize properly.
Bible aka vagas please have mercy on me, I think I got pregnant lol
