Can you explain the concept behind it? I watch the first episode of "High&Low: The Story of S.W.O.R.D"…
*SPOILERS BELOW!:*
ngl i totally get that, i was also confused when i watched it at first, but the more i carried on watching the whole franchise, the more i understood.
each film and series has its own storyline and they all link up. generally in terms of inner conflict between SWORD, each gang is fighting for their own pride/glory/dominance so they can protect their own area/district in SWORD. later on in the films, all the gangs come together to go against yakuza type government (kuryu group) who plan to take over the gang districts to build their own corrupt development.
each of the 5 gangs in sword has their own goal/reason for existence:
sannoh rengokai (hoodlum squad): formed by some of the main characters youths), their main purpose is just to protect their hometown of sannoh and the people there from external conflicts. (the series is based on their gang primarily)
white rascals: operating in a nightclub called heaven, they fight against those who exploit or abuse women and protect the women there.
oya koukou (oya high school): based in a delinquent high school, the students and people there fight for power and position of the strongest school there, rebel kids and violence there.
rude boys: based in an abandoned 'nameless' district, there are orphaned free runner people who live in the homeless area and they treat each other as family and fight to protect their home and residents.
daruma ikka: this gang is more based on vengeance, their leader hyuga and his pals seek revenge against the anyone who threatens or destroyed his family's yakuza affiliate.
there are other villainous gangs later on (e.g the prison gang, mugen, mighter warriors etc) but for now, those are the big 5. its pretty confusing at first cause there so much people involved and gangs but the series itself it ac good and the acting, action scenes, filmography, sets etc is dope. most of the cast are actors and also musicians as well as they are part of the exile tribe and ldh.
i defo recommend if you love violence, jdramas, action, gangs, slight comedy, likeable characters, fight choreography, dope bg music and most importantly (the first reason why i watched it), the fit ass men!

this show is just another thing to make me feel more single than I am- and the hosts were funny omg- their reactions to the couples being bold and all-
wow i watched this for jisung but the drama is getting more interesting. so far, it hasn't rlly been a thriller yet but the mystery should hopefully kick up in future eps.
imagine if the adamas wasn't the murder weapon- all wooshin's work for nothing.
i hope there isn't a huge romance in this, I think this drama would work just as a mystery chaebol drama.
i mean not liking romance is fine but why are u acting as if romance makes a revenge drama bad
didnt mean to make it sound like that. it doesn't and it depends on different dramas. my ops is that the romance x revenge arc in this kdrama didnt do it for me personally but it differs for people. i just dont like romance things so yh.
if yall like revenge dramas, i wouldn't recommend this one. it is revenge but there are way better revenge kdramas. im not a big fan of romance so I only watched this drama for sang yeob and the revenge plot arc.

I defo recommend 'my name'. it is on netflix and it is about a girl ( han so hee ) who wants revenge for her father's death after seeing him killed right in front of her eyes and she learns how to fight. the whole drama is amazingly executed and the fight scenes as well as the characters and cast are *chefs kiss*
tbh, it's not worth it at all. There was MUCH better revenge dramas out there.
yup. i only watched it for sang yeob. can't lie i was disappointed when i saw he wasn't the main lead. this drama wasn't for me tbh but i mean the acting wasn't that bad. the ending was disappointing. i agree there are defo better revenge dramas out there.

yup. i understand if the themes are upsetting like toxic romance, abuse etc. but people are hating on the actors and they are pissed that their favourite ships didnt work out. i mean, it is just a drama.
obviously everyone has their own opinions but no need to bring in hate to actors. if you don't like the acting, themes, etc then don't watch.
Then what is the point of drama what writer wants to prove then don't tag like revenge drams tag love drama then…
the tag is revenge drama cause most of it is about revenge but that doesn't mean she is/isnt gonna choose to fulfil that revenge. the whole plot of the drama is revenge and ruining the people that hurt her. it doesn't mean the revenge has to go smooth sailing,. but i understand if people probably wanted the revenge to go well and wanted the plan to succeed for me, i didn't expect much. and tbh idc whether her revenge plan suceeds or fails. i just want it to be executed well yk lmao.

tbh I don't rlly care who ra el chooses, just want her to relax and chill and start thinking about herself. i just want this revenge to be over considering she has been mourning and waiting for this for almost 13 years-
