So I'm currently on ep 22 and they just showed the Heavenly Emperor's other side... iykyk Anyways, I just need to know on a scale of 1-10 how "bad" and bothersome he is. Without any spoilers, basically how much does he interfere with what we as the audience want? So literally 1 being HE DOES NOTHING BAD to 10 being HES THE WORST AND MESSES EVERYTHING UP. Thanks :) HAHAHA after seeing what he did in ep 21, I stopped watching because I hate when the higher ups are evil. It's like a slap in the face you know.
Is this the same team that made Maid's Revenge? I only watched clips of that, but the overall vibe is so similar, not just the leads. The fast-pace, cringe cliche moments, all of that good stuff lol.
Like everyone else, the second half was really lacking. In the first half, I loved how strong willed the FL was, despite the inevitable giving-in to her mom. She was such a strong character, but after they started dating it was weird how she seemed to become almost submissive. The storyline itself also had its faults, with the silver shop scenario literally jumping all over the place and then the addition of the shooting... honestly, they should've stuck to one. IMO having just the shooting career would've been a bit more competitive and interesting, especially since they're showcasing their lives as students. IDK. It had its cute moments, but nearly not enough. So many perfect scenes in terms of lighting that they could've added onto but left us with expectations and then no execution. This really changed their chemistry-- they honestly look so much cuter off camera. I skipped parts at the halfway mark, and then literally just watched maybe 10 minutes of the last few episodes combined. The cast was great though, but it just feels like it was missing that overall sprinkle on top.
It's been a long time since I watched it, but I remember enjoying Neo and Chaoyue and Yitong and Yanlin, including…
Yeah yeah I agree I do love the cast as actors right now though. :) I'm surprised you replied because I know I just had to jot down some quick thoughts even though it's not really watched by anyone anymore haha. So thanks ig I was hoping to see some more natural interactions between famous Chinese actors through this show, but I know I should've looked elsewhere. I hope one day they carry on with this idea and change some unpopular elements based on viewer reviews, right? Maybe that's just me^

Yeah... shortly after I started I had to drop it hahaha It was my first time watching a chinese variety show besides running man, but I feel like too much was indeed scripted. I do like the originality and basis of the show, so it's a shame they executed it so poorly.
It's only episode 4 but it's getting better and better. The comedy in 4 was really so amazing, and something we don't see enough in kdramas. Rowoon fits the character so well, with his monotonous expression and tone while saying such cringe and lovely lines. I like how the drama started off a bit thriller-like but now they're showing the romcom side :)
I'm thinking this is what happened for now with the plot points they showed up till nowThe Jang family ancestor…
omg no not a rant at all That's pretty much what I was guessing... but I thought there would be a more original explanation if that makes sense hahaha nothing wrong with a little bit of cliche though! I just got my lunch so time to watch the new episode! :)
So probably the way this will work out is that he'll fall in love with her, and then she'll fall in love with him too but then want to take back the curse bc his feelings aren't "real" but then he'll have actually fallen in love with her anyways, etc. Or at least I hope so... bc having a love curse placed on you means the love is artificial :/
Anyways, I'm kind of confused about his own curse though. He has a brain tumor that has no cure? And that's his curse that he needs to get rid of? I thought his curse was carried down through the generations, doesn't that mean his dad and grandpa had to have had it too? But how come they don't know he's sick?? I also have no idea what the bloody hand is, like does it symbolize his curse? Is it a metaphor? Is it not really there but in his head? I like this drama a lot but it lacks explanation of some crucial small parts.
Okay this is so random, but she has an iPhone ringtone when she doesn't have an iPhone Lol such a useless observation, but I always notice it hahahaha
On a serious note, I'm on ep 6 but I'm so worried bc all the comments are complaining about the second half and the terrible ending so I have no idea if it's even worth giving the rest a shot. Do I stop before I become more invested in the lives of the characters??
I'm on third. And I agree it's the best so far. Even the comedic part is so good and touching. And who says I'm…
I guess I'm a sucker for the terribly depressing and heart-wrenching stories because the perfect ending is so much more meaningful that way. Like I always say, I don't care how sad a drama is as long as the ending is good :)
As I'm finishing up ep 20/3rd tribulation, idk how any of the other tribulations can beat the second. The deep pain and deep love they experienced is unbeatable... like this third life is sad I guess but tbh not that much. Just my opinion haha I loved LuChangKong sm <3
1st life: last 10 minutes of ep 1 (it's really short :)2nd life: ep 2 –> ep 123rd life: mid ep 15 –> beginning…
WOW thank you!! I'm on 18 now, but it's interesting how some lives are so short while others seem to take forever. Can't believe it's only 38 episodes though :'(
I didn't know this aired, though it was on my plan to watch list since forever ago! My two beautiful leads--I'm coming for you! 🤭❤️ so excited, I have no cdrama I'm watching right now...
is this really deserving of 9+ or is it just because of Lu Si. I could barely get through eps 1&2 because of Lu…
I know she seems childish, which I found really common in these types of Cdramas where time passes-- probably to show the difference when they're older. So many high school students are depicted as elementary immature which does bother me a lot bc of the inaccuracy, but it does get better once she matures. Her tendency to be timid around him remains, but she definitely grows up.
Honestly I just wanted some feel good feelings, fluff and squeals and this DELIVERED. but like fr what are other…
Though I suffered some withdrawal symptoms like many others, I watched Enigma (Thai) Fireworks of My Heart (Chinese) after. Also finished King the Land (but it's mid imo). But now I'm back to rewatch the series haha

TIA! :)
