Title Hidden Love
It's time! To rewatch :D
Now that it's all out on Netflix, and I have nothing better to watch (seriously why is there nothing good right now???) it's a sign heh

Also, the part-timer who drives for MokSol is so annoying. I can't be the only one right?
His obsession with Syaon literally reminds me of sasaengs

The moment EomJi (ex gf) threw his car key into the water to stop him from leaving... RED FLAG. I know why he got into some sort of argument with her, and now I know her disappearance/him being blamed was her fault more than his.

All of your cons are basically the entire point of the drama and fairly obvious from the trailer alone. It was…
LOL that's actually a good analogy.
It's just that with the increasing quality of korean dramas, they offer such diverse originality in their storylines that it becomes looking at how one in particular differs from others. That quality is what we look for these days. Even going in to the drama knowing things like the main idea (esp for remakes or webtoon-based, where a lot of people have a preset idea of how things will turn out) the audience hopes to see some sort of turnaround where they add some freshness to change the standard.

My cons are actually objectively reasonable points, and if you assume it's the entire point of the drama I guess by your definition I hated the whole show? Which I explained already so I won't get in to.
I don't really think "meant to be" is a proper term, more like an excuse to offset the criticism, but like I said I can see why a lot of people like the drama. High ratings are there so clearly there are fans. I'm not downgrading the popularity, just expressing some constructive criticism that could've helped. :)

Agree with u, but the cast its so spectacular especially the 6 siblings they make this drama more alive and not…
Every character was very two dimensional. The actions of literally every single person were predictable, so I guess it's not my style because I really like when there's a sudden unpredictable happening. But I also know some people just like it when it just goes with the flow without anything big happen.

I loved Junho's acting in Red Sleeve-- his acting was top notch-- I just don't think this drama showcased his talent because he wasn't really showing more than two different emotions. Him crying after meeting his mom was great but again, barely there throughout the 16 episodes.

And yes like I said it's too light for me, but everyone has their preferences. A LOT of people enjoy this kind of easygoing plot.

Finished yesterday, and I think I can organize my thoughts as such.

PROS:
-super easy watch, you can have it playing in the background when showering or folding laundry, etc. The drama is light, so it doesn't have you anxious and on your feet
-eye candy! The whole cast is so beautiful. My favorite couple was our KingAir couple <3
-the romance is obviously very cute. They follow the classic tropes to give those looking for some light reprieve a breath of fresh air

CONS:
-not original. They took every single cliche and put it in one.
-not enough storyline besides the romance. The writers focused too much on the sweet love between the leads, there wasn't a single piece of realistic conflict.
-That being said, very predictable. The sister was never a threat, Mr.No was clearly never going to switch sides, the mom was obviously going to make an appearance and say she left bc she loved her son, etc.
-Product placement in every episode, ESP that last one where they just gathered everything and showed it all at once (not a huge con, but it just felt like a commercial)

Overall, it was a decent drama. The ratings were and are overhyped IMO but that's because I always judge a drama based on the plot, and this had no such thing. Definitely finished because I love the cast and liked to have background noise when getting things done, but it was never something I'd eagerly wait to watch.
I give it a 7.5/10!

WOW this was so good. I'm going to leave this comment spoiler-free, but man I haven't watched a good thriller…
But can I say c'mon.. that kiss with Prim was honestly more annoying than NO kiss because it was so clearly fake, and then we see Win making out with a different girl-- my heart :'(
And omg Bright's cameo at the end was such a surprise. My F4 feels have come back all over again. Can they make a second season?! With more development between our leads please. PLEASE!

WOW this was so good. I'm going to leave this comment spoiler-free, but man I haven't watched a good thriller in such a long time. I loved how the gory parts with blood were realistic and they didn't hold back on making it look grotesque!
The story itself was honestly really good considering it was fit into 4 episodes (but we need more, c'mon) and even though it was one episode a week it was so worth the wait. Anyone know if there are talks to make a sequel? Gotta keep this hope inside alive somehow. Because after that ending, we all know there is so much potential to add more to the story!!!
I remember watching the trailer when it first came out thinking it was so well-made that everyone's hopes would be too high, but the actual series was so much better. 9/10

I would check out Home School!! I just finished it and enjoyed it alot! And it has Dew and Nani from this drama…
I just did and I watched for Dew and Jane! I wasn't a fan of the second half, but I still finished it for them hahaha
On When We Write Love Story Aug 4, 2023
I love how ORIGINAL this idea is for a variety show. It's basically the best of both worlds-- I'm just starting, focusing on Chaoyue's storyline bc I came here for her, and then maybe I'll watch the other ones after.
I did see some comments saying they hated the forced interactions, but is that like them following a script outside the drama part? Most variety shows like this have some sort of script... and it's always really obvious but usually we just ignore it.
Idk, I guess I'll have to see how I like it personally.

Title Home School Spoiler
How did it end?
Master Prasat is arrested though he says even if he's gone project r will be fulfilled by someone else, Master Amin passes peacefully and leaves his assets to Run. All the students stay and become close-- our two lead "couples" basically get together (very vague sadly) and it's a happy ending. The last scene shows Zero, a previous student who seems to be evil and psychotic like Prasat (he eats popcorn lmao). Other than the last scene it was a bittersweet ending.

I'm surprised I finished this (though skipped a little since the halfway mark) bc it has essentially no romance or comedy. I enjoyed watching the cast grow in the last episode and though there were sad parts (I cried a bit) it ended on a pretty good note I would say. Thai dramas are really growing on me-- really excited to see some better ones, as I can see their quality of dramas are improving, not all the same storyline with BL. Overall, not too shabby. Definitely easy on the eyes (ehem, Dew and Jane).

oh yeah and the masters look like pervs. or straight-up cult-y.
I saw a few already so I'm assuming everyone has their reasons for acting the way they do. It's just repetitive at this point. The misuse of power is so annoying.

I saw someone say there was a big surprise later on but honestly I feel like it'll be an obvious one. It was intriguing at first, how they want to teach them all a lesson along the same lines. But the methods of using violence and torture/punishment doesn't sit right with me. It's morally wrong and so no longer interests me. I only started to see Dew (lol) and now I love Jane too, but their relationship isn't really getting anywhere like I'd hoped.
