They have just started dating, like not even day has passed and you want them to tell everyone that they are dating??…
We just refer to sex as 'bad' or 'unhealthy' thoughts but that doesnt mean we actually think its bad. There is a difference. Its just that we are still not open minded enough to say the native word for sex openly. Let me explain: in many asian languages, the word for sex sounds so vulgar and harsh that we often replace it with something else or an equivalent term because you cant imagine how bad it sounds. In English, sex can sound cool and sophisticated, but thats not the case with our native languages. I cant even think of the word for sex in my native language without it sounding terrible, even in my thoughts. Its the same for Korean. So, we try to replace these words in conversation, but thats purely for communication. We dont actually mean that sex is bad.

On the other hand, the whole bullfighting issue is completely different from how we refer to sex as bad thoughts. In bullfighting, animals get harmed, so yes, you should hate it. In my culture, there are also ill practices that i passionately oppose, just like you do with bullfighting.

I actually checked your profile to see which part of the world you are from and i noticed you are from Spain, which made me realize how cultural differences play a significant role in understanding dramas from different parts of the world.

First, when you are dating someone (especially in the early stages), im not sure how it is in the West, but in Asia, many people try to hide it for as long as possible, or at least until they are sure about each other. This is because breakups and reconciliations are quite common in relationships nowadays. So, until they are sure, they dont tell many people, except for close friends, just like how Moeum is to Seokryu and Seunghyo. With relationships, many things come as a package deal. If the couple breaks up, all sorts of gossip can start, leading to complications, especially if they werent sure about the relationship in the first place or had just started dating.

Secondly, about sex: again, cultural differences play a big role. No matter how close you are as friends, its very normal to feel a little awkward when best friends get into a relationship and have sex for the first time. Its not just for best friends, this can apply to any couple. It usually gets easier from the second or third time, but the first time can be awkward because you are sharing your bodies with each other. But that doesnt mean they shouldnt have sex just because they feel uncomfortable or awkward at first, thats completely natural.

Finally, about him saying 'bad thoughts' are coming to his mind, whats wrong with that?? Im Asian, and yes, when it comes to sex, we often refer to it as bad or unhealthy thoughts. We don’t directly say the word sex, thats just not part of our culture.

I agree with you. I actually felt the same when I watched Hometown Cha-cha-cha. Somehow, I don't enjoy the way this writer makes the dramatic part of the drama so extreme. I know some people find it realistic, but for me it just doesn't seem natural.

But I'm glad this part is over now.

This is one of the reasons I enjoyed this drama - the way we could see how each character struggled mentally and their resolution to confront past traumas and try to heal (better later than never). But for me, the dynamics between the 4 of them was a bit of a mess, I wish they wouldn't have been that entangled (romantically)
