at the start of the show she already saw him making a deal w child's mother and she was against it then she accepted…
same, ive watched all 14 eps, might as well see it to the end. I just really hate it when a show had so much potential, everything was going so well until when GW got his tattoo back, the show started going downhill from there.

The disappointment really.... It just feels as though theres a hole in my heart that cant be filled, an itch that cannot be scratched.

My demon made me break my rule of not watching ongoing dramas and i regret it :')

This drama isn't difficult to understand. You're missing what I'm saying. Characters make decisions that aren't in line with the progress of their previously established development and personality. They're behaving this way because the plot FORCES them to do, which is why they come across as stupid. Especially Do Do Hee. She's been behaving mad stupid these past few episodes and not even her grief or anger can justify it. Also, everyone else is making decisions FOR her at the moment, and she's lost agency as a character. Just sitting there waiting for whatever the plot throws at her. It makes her passive in a story where she was once very active. Jeong Gu Won is behaving less stupidly, but the way he's suddenly resigned himself to letting her go despite literally fighting against the jaws of death to save himself and Do Hee, a few episodes prior, is bad writing. Where's all that momentum suddenly gone? That passion? That drive? He's taken three steps back character development wise just so we can see the rehashing of the tired noble idiot trope for the thousandth time. Do Do Hee's and Jeong Gu Won's joint attitude of throwing caution to the wind and doing anything it takes to survive (and later be together) was what made this mostly patchily written soap opera entertaining. Now they've dropped the ball on the best part of a very mediocre show. Its a good thing its wrapping up in two episodes, but the ending is guaranteed to be unsatisfactory and unnecessarily ambiguous because of the direction the writing took.

Yes, I know. But its not written well. A lot of the characters' actions don't fit with their character development or personality. Its just there for plot contrivance because the writer isn't skilled enough to convey the story without relying heavily on overused tropes.

It would have made more sense if they didnt show her witnessing how he made deals before but rather only finding out now. Her acting all shocked and "scared" of GW right now is just horrible and nonsensical

I understand ur point
Right now
I really don’t want want to say much though
But Dohee was willing to still be with Guwon the reason why she reacted that way is because it was all a shock to her

Have to agree. There were so many chances in the last eps to turn the plot in some more interesting directions,…
Exactly! All of Do Do Hee's character development went down the toilet. I stuck it out with this drama because I appreciated how ruthless she was. She knew what Jeong Gu Won was and what he DID - she was there when he made that deal with the woman whose daughter was dying of leukaemia - but she still used his powers to her benefit. She knew what he was long before she fell in love with him. But now she's in a moral quandry? Because his existence as a devil affected her parents' fate? I think having her Dad make a deal with JGW is such a contrived ass pull. We already have the two of them being in an ill fated relationship in their past lives. I wish the tragedy that was about to come was just straightforward murder atp. I really thought JGW and Do Do Hee were gonna go and kill "Go(o)d" -- free JGW from his cruel punishment and break the cycle of fate. The show is clearly not endorsing any singular religion, even though the Catholic iconography is most present throughout, and Go(o)d even mocks and belittles humans for their self-imposed belief in her. So why not have them fight against all odds to get their freedom and love. Now we gotta throw in this dumb ass plot device to separate the characters via noble idiocy and by making Do Do Hee agentless and powerless. She's just a victim of what the plot throws at her now. So frustrating. Good thing there's only two episodes left, but I know the ending is gonna be ASS. Btw, read Devil No 4. My Demon is riffing off a lot of the stuff from Devil No 4 but the writing and deconstruction of the Abrahamic belief system >>>>>>>>>>>>>

This drama is nosediving towards a deus ex machina ending because the writer wrote themselves into a corner. There…
Have to agree. There were so many chances in the last eps to turn the plot in some more interesting directions, they had the base for it but alas it didnt happen and always the most predictable resolutions were made(like no resolutions at all). They didnt bring the plot to anywhere, just...there were potential , especially with No Suk Min, his wife , FL search for justice....imagine his wife makes a deal with the devil to bring her husband down, imagine that whole.plot wasn't dealt with so quickly just for a boring showdown at the end with the undead No Suk Min(they drg that to the end cause of no other interesting storyline)...there was never a culmination in the important moments, the writing was going somewhere and just as it started building up to something....always the writers chose the predictable way out.

How many times will we see FL.going through the same crisis? There were more than two identical scenes of her realising the same thing in this episode - that she is alone and betrayed. Ok, but that was her state from the beginning. ML was being a demon - Ok, but that was what we knew from the beginning. We supposed to feel their emotions now? I felt her emotions when she was standing up for herself in front of her "family" and when she was looking for justice, looking to find herself in a world that was always against her, to grow as a strong person. And then...nah, let's write off that whole story, we're not going to do it like how we prepared it for - put the ready for use betrayal-breakup plot device that we put in every other drama even when it's incoherent with the particular story.

This series really became lukewarm, no creativity, completely agree. If other episodes alluded to that, last two eps confirmed it

Is it just me that thinks this is no big deal. Since the beginning of the drama I axrually think he's a genie. He gives people the chance to literally make a wish in exchange for their life. If you so desperately want or need something you can have it. He also only appears for desperate people that he knows will likely want the deal. Later he just arrives as plan to collect their life. They already had their wish granted. Its like after pay service. She should be thanking him for granting whatever wish her dad had. He's now here helping her with his power. She was always loved. By her parents then by madam Ju then now him. I don't think her life is sad at all. I just can't comprehend most people's reactions to this episode. Why are people sad. I honestly don't understand why he should feel guilty.

100% agree that today's episode was too much of a filler. They gave us tons of romance scenes and yet I still…
I hope they tone down on the comedy scenes and start getting serious and focusing on more impt matters (i.e. the thriller aspect of the drama).

The supporting characters (the office trio and Mr Park + Ms Shin), their comedic scenes are too cringe in my opinion. So far the only comedic scenes I enjoy are the mafia gang's XD

Also, to be very honest, I do not understand why the directors give so much screen time for Mr Park's and Ms Shin's romance. Their acting are abit over the top as well.

Yes! I loved how he would be acting all cute aka "golden retriever" and I swooned over it at first. But theres too many of those scenes now. And instead of using his powers to solve the mystery, he purely uses it to please Do Hee only. Cant he do both? :")

Im missing the badass Gu Won!! Hopefully he comes back in the next 3 eps :(

100% agree that today's episode was too much of a filler. They gave us tons of romance scenes and yet I still feel unsatisfied. The scenes were too "surface level". I would have liked them to have deep conversations with one another rather than them just looking at each other, smiling and laughing the whole time. I'm starting to look forward to the thriller portion of the drama rather than their romance T.T

Theres alot of lovey dovey scenes for sure, but is it just me that theres sth missing? I cant seem to get fully…
I completely agree. The writers seems to following a type of formula, which basically gives you a good number of the lovey-dovey scenes followed by the thriller stuff. This makes every episode feel kind of repetitive (in my opinion). I also feel that the chemistry between the leads is present but not "natural," if that makes sense. Their love story in the first four episodes was very well done, from being strangers, to saving each other, then bodyguard, then married. It was very believable in the beginning, but now it feels quite dull. I was hoping that their past love story could take their present story in a different direction but that did not happen either. I hope the upcoming episodes focus more on the thriller stuff because I find it very intriguing, and it has more potential to help the story take a new route.

Ending was good, but wtf Mountain God didn't get any punishment or even sorry for what he did to the ML and FL…
I agree with the Mountain God part... No grovelling, no excuses no nothing... That made it a very bitter pill for me to swallow.
This show was good for most of its run, but the last 4/5 episodes were a huge let down. The last episode felt like a filler episode more than anything. I would have preferred 30 minutes of cute and at least 30 minutes of grovelling on the Mountain God's part. Also given the fact that he is a guardian supposed to protect his Mountain or whatever, isn't there supposed to be some consequences for him leaving his duties?

I also felt very sorry for the Uncle. They played it as something funny, but I don't see what's funny in a poor dude who can no longer speak...
Also, lack of coherence here. In the previous episode, he was supposed to have forgotten human speech hence he could no longer type messages on his phone, yet in this episode he typed one to Hae Na as he was barking.

Talk about a let-down.

That's a 7.5 for me because it was still very good at the beginning, I'm just very disappointed by what they turned it into.

Yeah, today most of people prefer to eat fast-food.
I was crazy harsh about this drama. But with time, I think it have great visuals and good comedy. But also, lot of problems. Sorry, I can't make a list here. But problems in dramas are a great help for me: it says what I have to avoid to do when writing a drama! It's why I watch twice dramas I don't like. I want to be sure to know why I don't like. And not doing this when I write.
