This drama is all about visual feast. I can understand why some don't feel connection with the main CP, the main reason is because this drama lacked deep memorable dialogs. They only serve us gorgeous people in pretty robes and hair pieces added nice setting and beautiful fight scenes on wires threw in some ICG.

Aside from the Dragon Clan, I love Huli Clan. I always have soft spot for the huli because they are always depicted beautifully. Darren is a huli thru and thru. He is pretty and cheeky but cunning and determined. Don't let me start with our newly anointed Demon Lord. He is smoking HOT!!

I'm a bit late in following the eps but I have to say that I'm loving the Dragon Clan. They are robust, strong, no nonsense, good looking in those dark robes and Daddy Dragon is cool.

He was so “unlucky”. It wasn't his fault in the first place:

1. The motorcycle was speeding.
2. They were both on their right lanes.
3. Then the motorcycle swerved to the left and approached the car and got hit.

Analysis:

A. It's safe to assume that Korea has a law against reflective this and that which can blind other people. So, more likely than not there was no reason why the motorcycle swerved towards the incoming car.

He did not swerve because he was blinded as well.

B. Based on the scenes, the car drivr was blinded because the motorcycle swerved, and the reflection from the motorcycle or the rider's helmet, blinded the car driver. Which prevented him from reacting fast and early, or to even avoid the motorcycle that was suddenly on his lane.

C. I think what the rider tried to say to the car driver was, “I'm sorry”. (1) He knew it was his fault; and (2) he also knew what's going to happen next, regardless if he dies or not.

D. Since he was speeding, and he suddenly swerved to the opposite lane, one possible explanation was that he accidentally hit a rock which could've led to him losing control. If he wasn't speeding, he would've have been able to keep control or the motorcycle simply rolled over the rock; especially since his tires should be able to handle it (it's thick, not slim-type).

Another possible scenario, he simply lost control.

Yet another scenario, the motorcycle was defective.

---

Which brings us back to the car driver. He got unlucky.

Of course, he also did a mistake, he should've called it in.

Sure, he was shocked. Having an asthma attack. A kid who just visited his mom, which no doubt devastated him and thus he's emotionally “unstable” or “challenged” at that time he was driving. Which all led to him not knowing what to do.

However, he already initiated the call. He should've at least finished it after recovering from his asthma attack. After that call, he can run if he wants.

Save a person's life first.

BUT, then again, if he did what he should do, there won't be a story to tell in the first place. LOL.

This drama is a true masterpiece. Although the first half of EP 2 was a bit slow, it was crucial for setting up the plot. ML finds himself trapping in his own plan, with Lee Sang taek ruining all his carefully laid plan. While ML tries to pin the blame on Lee Sang taek, but Kim Kang heon is aware that the car's driver has asthma which means the truth is bound to come out soon. Ho Yeong's asthma will play a big role in uncovering the truth.

The second half was incredibly intense. The reaction of the mafia family to their beloved son's death was genuinely terrifying. The mother's furious anger, the brother's bloodthirsty desire for revenge and the sister's emotional breakdown, contrasted with the father's dont know how to react to situation, all showed just how far these characters will go to punish the culprit behind the accident. The acting by the sister and mother in their respective scenes was exceptional.

The last scene really blew my mind. It sent chills down my spine, from ML's guilt over the grandmother and granddaughter to his shocked reaction to the sudden explosion. This scene was masterfully executed and gave me goosebumps all over my body.

Just jumping on to say:
1. This is so cute. I'm on episode 6 and I'm really enjoying how low stakes, sweet, and fluffy this is. If you're looking for a fun and sweet rom com with a straightforward story and chemistry between the actors, this checks that box.
2. In addition, there's something about Chae Jong Hyeop's performance that is both adorable but also super sexy, and that takes the drama up to a new level. I've never gotten butterflies in my stomach when a character merely smiles. His smiles are making me feel things.
3. Kim So Hyun is just a delight to watch. She's one of those actresses who makes every scene feel effortless. She comes across as "a girl's girl" in this one and I love her character. She's straightforward, honest, kind, and intelligent. Love her.
4. Also a big bonus: everything the characters do makes sense. At no point have I yelled at my screen or turned it off in frustration.
5. The SML and SFL's story was sorta boring at first, but it's (eventually) cute and now growing on me (as of ep 6).

In summary, so far, if you're looking for a fun show to keep you engaged with low stakes where romance is the central story, highly recommend this one (... so far.)

Title Serendipity's Embrace Spoiler
Not sure why the virgin topic came out, but at least twice he said he realized his feelings and that he missed HJ1 when he came back to Korea. That means that for 10 years he had no idea what those feelings were which means nothing would stop him from dating. Most likely not as many as his mom implied, but there were a few. Just like HJ1 had no idea that 10 years ago she had also fallen for HY, but was still able to love and have a relationship with JH. They probably loved their partner but were not IN love with them. Loving someone and actually being in love are very different.

Previews are misleading so I don't believe anything bad will happen in the last episode.

I think this drama would have been better if it were more like Soundtrack #1, without major conflicts like the toxic mom or ex. The drama is too short to properly deal with those issues. If it had 16 episodes, they might have had time for that, but right now, the scenes with the mom and ex just seem unnecessary. They’re only there to create tension and make the leads come together in the last 5-10 minutes of the show.
