Perhaps I'm crazy in their eyes, but I binge watched 27 eps in 2 days. The only thing I really wanted to do is hit the phones with a hammer a few times. XD

that cliffhanger is illegal,
I like this couple and I like when they are together, it's like they look into each other while talking and even when they averted their eyes, you feel it. I can't believe how good their chemistry in this drama. It's his little smile when she compliment her, it's her little blush when she thought and talk about him. It's like you know they feel attracted to each other.

I also really like the way do hee speak when she really makes her decision, you believe her conviction.
I think I just like do hee, she is relatable, admirable and also you also want things to go well for her.

She is not one dimensional like most FL characters in these dramas are

Yes that was a beautiful scene - episode 31 was just beautiful! Yes Shi Yan was difficult to understand because he never said much. His actions did speak though for a little bit but still it was not enough. Lack of communication was definitely the one of the issues in their relationship. Shi Yan’s non communicative character Shu Yi’s contradictory behavior were the biggest hurdles that they had to cross.

So many people loved this drama on Viki and they actually understood the drama - which was amazing.

And you are right - Shi Yan is very shy, reserved and closed off. This couple had to communicate more and with Shi Yan being the way he was it was very difficult. That is why I was so happy when he took that first step in ep 31 to go see her. Otherwise they were both hitting a wall.

Me too, this is my favorite role for her. She truly reminds me of Bridget Jones. Somebody also compared her to Scarlett O'Hara of Gone With The Wind, though I think she's not a real flirt while Scarlett is. Furthermore, she's not as bratty and mean as Scarlett. But to be compared to Scarlett means Shu Yi is a memorable and stand-out character.

Yes she fell for him at first sight but she was in denial because of those contradictions in her head . I think Bai Lu translates it well on screen - all those confusions she created for herself and the way she was running and hiding when things got serious. Yes this is a very realistic character

Yes absolutely- the contradictions in her character is what made viewers misunderstand and spew all that hate. But man did she nail it? She is truly an amazing actress. This is the most interesting character she has played and I totallly loved it. I am going to repeat this- no one else could have played this role.

I completely agree. The hate for Shuyi and the drama itself is atrocious. To me it was a completely enjoyable drama that made me smile through out. The actors were fantastic and it was what a romance drama should be. They both were flawed characters and it was all about how they made it work in the end. Are viewers such perfect people that they cannot take imperfections in the characters?

yeah, that's what i thought so too. she fell in love with him at first sight. however, her contradictory nature prevented her from admitting it to herself. she pursued Shi Yan because she actually fell for him, and her "revenge" and career prospects were actually just excuses for her to make the first move. however, she could not tell Shi Yan either, because she is constantly beset with these inner struggles, which i think is the reason she keeps lying. he was deeply hurt because of her inability to communicate. Both of them hurt each other. Communication was another problem they needed to overcome which they did in the end. I think the reason Shu Yi was mainly blamed fortheir misunderstanding was because there was not enough fans who defended her side. I agree, she never led Yi Yang on. Being friendly was just her nature.
