China doing better job punishing a big fish but they are too strict. On the other country, it always been opposite. Big celeb or politicians are run free even after they are doing a worst kind of crimes. I don't know how many CEO or Hollywood execs has been proven with rape scandal and all of them still run free. Using a drug is not even a crime there. Big investing company doing a ponzi scheme all day and no one bats an eyes. My guess western is too forgiving and China is too strict.
If you are actors / celebs in China just need to do a simple things, avoid get into politic and pay your damn tax.
There is a lot of noise on the set. It would be too costly to do live recording of their voices.
You forget that Chinese drama is 40 episodes, before new law the norm was 60 ep. Dramas from other country probably 12 episodes long the most. Western series probably even less than 8 episodes per season. So they can have more control.
You get the idea, it is so hectic to keep everything in control while filming for such really long duration.
