@Dar20, there are plenty of BLs that imply (attempted) rape, sexual assault, or other forms of non/dub con. Some imply it in a way that leaves room for interpretation while others are pretty clear about it. A lot tone down the explicit source material to a grey zone that is more acceptable for the audience.

Some that immediately come to mind are all of the Love Syndrome franchise, TharnType, Love Mechanics, KinnPorsche, OMG! Vampire, Meet You At The Blossom, HIStory4: Close to You -- just to name a few where the dub con happens between the lead couples.

And then there are several others where it's a side character or happened in the main's past like Love In The Air, 4 Minutes, Love by Chance, I Feel You Linger In The Air, Takumi-Kun, When it rains, it pours, Bed Friends etc.

They showed a used condom wrapper. So from what they have shown us so far, all signs point to rape. Of course, we don't yet *know* what actually happened.

Also it's a bit weird to say that "only" leaving bite marks all over someone's body, isn't abuse or assault. If he unwrapped a condom but then changed his mind, there might not have been a rape. But an assault happened either way.

Not sure whether you are intentionally misunderstanding or really can't tell what is what. People are calling you out for victim blaming, and you twist this into being accused of approving rape. Those are not the same thing.

I've already stated that prevention is a good thing. Preventative measures can reduce the statistical risk of becoming a victim. But the level of preventative measures (not) taken still does not change the fact that the only one to blame is the rapist.

None of that has anything to do with (not) sticking to the series. Nobody wants to be a victim. Nobody tries to be a victim. As others have pointed out, your argument of "Akin should not drink" is the same as "should not wear a short skirt" and similar arguments of victim blaming that seek (part of) the fault with the victim.

What am I misunderstanding? According to you, Akin carries part of the blame because in your eyes he didn't do enough to protect himself. You didn't see enough "trying". What a horrible thing to say.

You are confusing two things: Prevention vs who is to blame when a rape is committed.

Prevention is good. Kids should be raised to speak up for themselves and others, they should be taught how to watch out for warning signs, how to defend themselves, how to take care of themselves. They should also be taught about their rights, as well as how to behave in dangerous or conflict situations. It might save them from (sexual) assault or worse one day.

But if a rape is committed, it absolutely does not matter whether the victim followed all the safety rules in the book or none at all. The only person to blame for the rape is the rapist. Period.

Also the notion of "he should always have someone with him to take care of him" is... strange. He did have people with him to take care of him! He went for drinks with his colleagues. Johnny was expected to take care of him. Instead of taking care of him, he took advantage and raped him.

Surprise! More often than not, it's a friend, acquaintance, colleague or family member who is the rapist. If it's the people who are trusted to take care of you that rape you, what is your argument? That it's the victims fault for trusting that particular person? Akin should have known to not be safe with his acting colleagues? Is that it? Really?

I'd actually be okay if Heng apologizes for not telling his mom who is really dating because that really was kinda shitty. But Mo has to apologize just the same or even more. After all, the fake gf was his idea and he walked out on a crying, devastated Heng.

So I'm personally hoping that both realize their mistakes and for a mutual apology. But when do I ever get what I want? lol

Hahaha! Saaame! I'm a big fan of Mix and just got used to see him with Earth all the time. But this is actually the first series in which I really, really like Earth and I'm happy that they let him play a truly goofy character for once.

Cupid also is my favorite show of theirs. But they roles in this one seem reversed, I think. I would have loved to see Mix act another silly character and I'm a tiny bit sad that Mo is a bit bland. But this also makes them a great pairing - I could have seen either one of them play Heng's character.

I also loved Fish Upon The Sky which is again on the sillier side. So maybe a lot of people enjoy silly series less?

Like, 1000 Stars is rather serious and while it's not a bad drama, I never had the urge to rewatch.

Preview looked like they'll pretty much follow the original plot.

Mo won't try to interfere with the boss and Heng but instead encourages Heng to pursue his career even if that means being even further apart.

Mo will ask for a meeting to confess his true feelings and win Heng back, but Heng won't show.

And in the meantime Heng has already accepted boss' marriage proposal...

Same! I love the Japanese original. I love Mix and Earth. And I also love this series. I'm surprised that so many don't seem to like it.

I wonder whether the issue is that people preferred the original, or that people don't even know the original.

I have to admit that it took the first episode to get used to see Earth and Mix in different roles and a different dynamic than I'm used to, but I'm sold ever since.

In case you didn't know: They are a standard pairing and have done a bunch of series together. This one is referencing a few of them actually :)

Some of my questions are:

* What did Tyme do during the 2.5 minutes that we never got to see? Why not meet the love of your life much earlier? His brain only introduced him to Great just short of the 3-minute mark. Why?

* Why did Korn experience any kind of 4-minute fantasy after shooting himself in the head? The brain that is needed to come up with that alternative reality would be mush, right?

* Who was that artist (?) mysteriously showing up in the 4-minute room? Why was that room even there in a building that didn't seem like any kind of art gallery?

Wanchai's daughter held Warit captive for a month, and it seems she even tortured him. This is where his wounds and disability come from. Disconnecting the breathing tube (fantasy or not) would hardly disable him. Tyme decided not to kill him because he realized that the wounds were severe enough to leave him disabled.

Wanchai is the guy who got killed in episode two because he hired a hacker to sabotage the servers. How his daughter was able to kidnap and torture the general for a month, is beyond me, though...

You get the first few chapters for free on MEB. But it's just bad porn with (very little) plot.

I'm wondering if they have us fooled. Lin was obviously eager to lose his virginity. In my mind, a whole lot happened between the rose petal bathtub and them waking up holding hands. We just didn't get to see that, yet... Would be fun to discover in a flashback later on that they ended up not sleeping much at all.

Because she's his mom. As far as I'm concerned, my mom NEVER had any kind of sex in her life EVER.

Because it hasn't finished, yet. The final episode airs tomorrow.

However, my hope is that the reason is that Gun and Pizza aren't endgame. I hope to see Pizza with Zo after Zo got away with murder. Not because I ship them together or they have great chemistry, but because I would like that from the story telling perspective.

I LOVE this series. To me, it's a masterpiece. I expected plot holes, missing explanations and messy conclusions. But everything makes perfect sense and is spot on.

The series is not very strong from the BL perspective, though. The focus is less on the development of some sweet romance, but it is more about the twisted things people are willing to do to achieve their goals. And the mental breaks they suffer because of their actions and the pressure that comes with the fame that they thought they desired.

If people go into this expecting the classic couple developments, they will be disappointed. I get that. In this case, I don't care much about any of the couples and who will end up with whom. I just want the killer to get away with murder :)
