The fact that you referenced Hitchhiker's Guide makes me want to watch this now! π
Sorry, I meant the intensity of KP = KinnPorsche. Kim and Chay were such a dramatic and almost tragic couple.
I guess many fans have this as their mental image of Jeff and Barcode and what they are getting here doesn't match that image at all.
The trailer for the Space Bakery has always been soft and comedic, yes.
I haven't yet watched Playboyy because I was on a BL break while it aired but I have an idea what it's like. Trash BL have had a fixed place in my heart for years, though.

It's low budget, sparkly and a lot of chaos. It's probably not what you normally expect from a BL, but it's so much fun.
I think the low ratings reflect fan's expectation after the intensity of KP. This series is the polar opposite. From the announcements it wasn't very clear how the series would turn out, so I get why people are surprised or disappointed.
But if you can be open towards the fun kind of trash and lots of crazy ideas, it's very enjoyable.
Do you guys know the Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series from 1981 produced by BBC? This is veeery similar but gayer, and everyone just speaks whichever language they want.
I wasn't expecting hilarious trash but this is what they gave us and I LOVE it!
I imagine lots of fans will be disappointed but I'm embracing the nonsense and I'm really enjoying it so far.
Even when you're an adult, have experienced loss, changed jobs and careers, lost your virginity many years ago and don't have big dreams for the future anymore, there is still room for fresh beginnings, feeling butterflies in your stomach, discovering pop-sickles, trying new flavors, feeling shy, falling in love... You're never too gown up to experience novelty and magic. And this JBL is beautiful reminder of that.
I love how they portrayed Nakhun's bilinguality.. He thinks in Thai, but writes in English...
I thought he writes in English as a "secret code". Even if someone finds his notes, they won't be able to decipher them easily, so his "secrets" stay safe.
can i watch this without watching the other cpβs story? is their story still understandable?
Their story is complete without the other parts. In the previous parts they exchanged maybe one or two sentences, so there is no prior knowledge that this part builds on. You just won't know who their friends are and how the established couples started dating. However, this won't impact your understanding or your enjoyment of their story at all because the focus is really on them. You can just view the friends as any other random friend group in other series.
Thanks! Yes, I watched the remake which is why I wanted to compare it to the original. It's the same company, so I guess they have removed the old version. But that's just sad.. :(
I have found that the age ratings on this site are not the most reliable.
this is the original TV version which is why it also has the complete βRaikantopiniβ at the beginning. The warning sign is only yellow not red, so itβs not the highest warning. They have to blurr stuff, so they can air it in an earlier time slot. Alkohol, cigarettes, weapons etc will all get blurred in Thai TV
Fabulous episode... Except one tiny detail. When did his ex left the house ? When Shulang & FX had their confrontation…
Same. In my mind I was picturing Zhen-zhen sitting in the corner eating popcorn watching the whole drama unfold. π
I figured that he left at some point, but why would he leave all of a sudden? Then again, it doesn't really matter. Nothing else existed for Shulang and Fan Xiao in that moment, they were fully absorbed in their tragedy.
Turned out to be just 3 days π π€£ FXs anguish made it feel much longer than that and had me chuckling π SY…
Also with the whole thing of Shulang taking annual leave and not having been to the office for a while, I was sure it was at least a couple of weeks. Was laughing out loud when they said 3 days. π π€£
Love the Leon reference. Okay, this will definitely show my age.Leon: The Professional (1994) was a film about…
The app "Strawberry" through which they meet isn't a dating app. It's a neighborhood marketplace app where people in the same area can exchange goods, services and information.
"Strawberry" is a fictional app that resembles the real app "Karrot". Series often avoid real brand names to avoid issues, and instead chose a fictional name that would still be recognized easily.
The "Strawberry" app also plays a major role in the BL "Sweetheart Service" that was released earlier this year.
Randomly found it on Calender, why there's no comment for this one???
It's not airing yet. They only released the first episode some weeks ago as a kind of teaser but the rest of the episodes are not yet available. So there is not so much to talk about yet.

Just imagine tasting everything that you touch.... That must be horrible.

I was wondering how the old neighbor knew everything about Shulang's whereabouts. But if you never close the door, everybody will know everything. π
