there's something about JoongDunk that makes me OK with flaws in their series π
Same here. Like I see so many people complain but everytime they are on the screen, I am just smiling widelyπππ I love their show so much it's not even funny.
Just wanted to say how I hate how little Gu Won actually works and yet his father is ready to give him the hotel…
I am also on the fence with the in your face favoritism that ML shows FL. This show has also helped me see why offfice romances are frowned upon universally especially ones involving the boss. However, the sister's philosophy is also hard to get behind. The fact that none of the employees get any incentives at all for that extra they give or for helping the company meet its goals is troublesome. I also don't think that the gender has anything to do with who the heir will be. It is plausible that the sister may feel that she has to struggle harder due to gender but they haven't really delved into her reasons and so its not right to just assume. And also, the father giving equal opportunity to ML to show what he is capable of is just fair to me, considering he hasn't been around for years.
Also, I would like to add that what a lot of kdramas have taught me is to always communicate. Cause Mr. Seo Ha's dad really let 10+ years pass by with his son lowkey hating him...all for what? We have only one life, do the hard stuff and get through it. Taking the easy road is just delaying the inevitable.
Everytime she opened her eyes before finishing remembering her past life, I felt like throwing my phone at my screen or something. Like MS.WOMAN, GET A MOVE ON!!! WE DON'T HAVE ALL DAY.ππ The tension was really high for this episode. However, I do have to admit, I am not happy that the resolution is going to be in the last episode. I feel like this would have been the episode for her revenge and whatnot and a climax for what she decides to do and then tomorrow, the last episode gives last episode vibes. I am not a screenwriter though and I can't change what's already happened. Besides, FL's acting really brought it today. So, a win is a win, I guess.
That makes no sense. They show a Prince, why would anyone would think that all muslim act like this rich prince.…
I just stated that his religion wasn't brought up. No need to be hostile π Where I have grown up from, dressing like that is defined as Arabic culture not relating to the religion at all. I am sorry if I misstepped.
Am in love with this k-drama but To be honest, I was disappointed because they represented an Arab person in a…
I genuinely think they didn't represent an Arab person in a bad way. They represented Samir, the fictional prince of a fictional Arab state as the way he was. I personally did not even think about the drinking and the girls in the club...being Muslim myself. I just thought Samir was childish like Gu Won. It wasnt that deep to me. However, I have been trying to understand the Arabs' plight and I unfortunately still think they are blowing it out of proportion. But if they find this a worthy cause to fight for, then they should I guess.
Everything feels too rushed π π I was still shocked by the twists but it all happened in one night and was making me dizzy. Didn't she get tired of all that driving? I feel that I wouldn't have minded longer episodes if only to atleast make the story... fuller. I am enjoying myself still (the twists have made it even better) but something is lacking and its getting harder to ignore. Can't wait for next week though
I find it funny that everytime Gu Won's sister is being all dramatic "I hate my step brother, he wants to steal my job from me" we cut to Gu Won being a simp for Sa Rangππ And also, the FL and ML look alike to me. Like siblings. Its uncannyπ And the ads??!!!! Woah. And, why is the relationship moving fast. I haven't yet digested FL not liking ML amd now she is basically head over heels...a little exaggeration but yeah.
Episode 7 was a whirlwind for me. Everything just kept coming. I was not prepared. So much happened I need to first digest and understand it first. But I still like it. And no hate to the webtoon but I like that they have added extra twists to the show. I would think this would be expected as no adaptation is ever exactly the same as the original(at least for the ones I have watched) but some people seem mad about it. Anyway, let me buckle in for episode 8.
Tai shouldn't have lied, but he was afraid Patts would react exactly as he did, and lying was 1% as bad as what…
I personally don't think we should weigh their actions as worse and worser. Yes, there is a cause and effect but writing Phatts off as some impulsive violent man after one incident no matter how extreme(I blame the writing, like come on, one punch was enough for a kiss like that) is also unfair. We should just accept that conversations need to be hel between Phatts and Lomfon and Tai and Phatts. (No hate but Tai hasn't proved to be good at theseπ)Apologies need to be made. And we close off another fictional story.
Gun Napat just won Best Actor in a BL series at the ''Top Asia Awards'' in Thailand.. take that how you may.....
π π π This may sound dumb but sometimes I try to cut the actors some slack by thinking of the language barrier and how you can't really trust the subtitles and there are some bits and nuances of Thai culture that I don't really know... but not with Gun. It was impossible to think if him as anything other than a bad actor unfortunately. ππ I am led to believe that some of these Thai BL actors are legitimately connected to the mafia like a commenter stated previously. Because, how the hell???!!
please elaborate on what complex emotion FL has to like an under 12 years old as an opposite sex. It will be great…
I find your POV interesting. I am surprised you would think about it like that. Especially on the FL being manipulative. That's a different take on it definitely. This may not be good advice but it is important to remember that this is fiction. Moreover...fantasy. Also when you said what she knows, did you mean the flamenco dancing etc...or the history of the characters from her 18th life? I am curious what you wanted her to do with that knowledge.
Asking out of curiosity cause I don't really know how to express what I find particularly wrong with shows like…
I always find myself dissatisfied with a lot of these BLs and a part of me is like "its the plot, or the directing or the acting" but I am always stumped at what I would have done differently for the show to be better.
I can't imagine any of them in another BL pairing.
I love their show so much it's not even funny.

"Treat intimate relationships as if it were something terrible and unconceivable."
WOWππ
