I will trade age for great acting ability every single time. Its the same with Bai lu.. She looks older and portray younger characters in many series but her ability and acting is just unmatched and amazing. Very few actress can pull of the fl role in the double.

They needed one person, a executive producer to make the final decision not two different party making alternate endings for their own vision. In the end it was a small misstep But i will not take any marks off. Ive seen something like this in other cdrama too and it can be annoying and confusing.

The fact that the studio uploaded then deleted death scene in the end is funny and just proving that he did passed away first then didnt. But i accept the happy ending. Hope they get to do another series with everyone and crew. Still this series is a great achievement in cdrama and costume drama. certified 9.9/10

This series tone just didnt feel right from the start. Didnt enjoy the ml too and didnt enjoy the color and hair style or environment. Dropped after the second episode.. I dont get the hype. Hoping i can have enough time to see a few more episode before i completely put it down.

Its not bad. Somewhat unique and interesting. The male lead with fl is alright. Its worth watching when theres nothing good on right now thats new and ongoing. Have fun.

Its a very tough call and it can be open ended. In my opinion he didnt make it back and died in his last stand against another wave of enemy just like how his dad died. The last sequence and the extra was very much a dream state. The end part sequence got a similar vibe to 'a journey to love'

They really died suddenly and brutally. Hard to make sense of it.

Very sad. Wish they get into how ml lost his army so fast and why the Zhou allies didnt help.

Its interesting. Maybe there are some symbolism or possible dream sequence at the end that can be interpreted differently. But that trinket dropped. Hes a goner.

I agree there are many closeups for this series and in most cases with many other series it can be very cheesy but this series really made it work with the incredible pacing, chemistry and setup, built up of each moment and scene.

Easily could of been a short 2nd season focusing on the north.. Alternate 40.5 ending is bittersweet. Just doesnt make up for the real ending where ml dont make it back. Sad

Greatest series in cdrama ever created. Thank you to every single cast, writer and everyone behind the scene. Pure masterpiece.
