I didn't finish the novel and I don't know if it's already been mentioned, but does the duet that MQC and GS sang in Ep. 5 have any correlations to another novel?? I was in awe when he read his "impromptu" lines. It was giving "One and Only" vibes which I know the author also wrote. Tan Jianci eloquently presented those lines making me hurt a little. 😅

But I can’t help it! Your voice is just too alluring, Tan Jianci. Jk! 🤣 I like that they highlighted this early on in the story. This most likely is a big foreshadow for future episodes. Ironically, this is how our leads are starting out but I can't wait to see how this gets addressed later.

This was such a good start. I ended up going out to eat hotpot just because. LOL. I can't imagine the effect the rest of these recipes will get to me. 🤣 If someone like Qiang Qing Ci were reading the recipes to me, I'd be ready at all times to listen. The way he said, "I love you" to show as an example totally captivated me. I can't even blame Gu Sheng for being shy. I can't wait to see more of Tan Jianci portraying a VA.
