I think that's the refreshing part about this story. I find both characters flawed in their own way with no heavy superficial traits. It's realistic just as you say.

Alright, after watching Ep.10, I'm going to hop on board and blindly ship our main leads. I'll deal with the consequences later. LOL! I've been on the fence about fully shipping due to his intentions from the beginning. However, after seeing him fix the speaker and how he looked at her in the park, I've left the dock. 🤣🤣 That was the tipping point for me. I know we've got more angst to come. It'd be great to see how they patch up the relationship when business is involved.

Yes! I definitely think they can learn a thing or 2 from each other. Xu Si with his EQ and Jiang Hu with the practical side of things. This part is actually what I look forward to most. When they put their differences aside and start to learn from one another, they'll be the power couple I 'd stan. 😍

I read your comment this morning about the "date" and got so excited. Haha. Those voice messages at home were definitely not any normal day to day messages. Our boy is smitten. I'm still on the fence with their ship but I couldn't help but think is he trying to build his EQ by hanging out with her? When his ex mentioned to him that when it comes to work, humans are just tools to him, he didn't look quite happy about it. Hopefully this knocks some sense into him too. I want to full on ship already!

I totally understand. I'm still on the fence to fully ship them. I do enjoy their interactions but in the back of my mind I can't help but think of what he's doing/did. In one of the trailers, I think she finds out his big plan after reviving Tengyue and ends up slapping him. At that point he's probably into her and the chase will begin? But like you said hopefully it can get adressed in a reasonable way.

I'm about to start 9 & 10 but I just wanted to share another short edit I made of these 2. My Tom & Jerry couple. I seriously cannot get over how well their chemistry exudes on screen. Even if it's just business talk you can feel their tension. And honestly, Jiang Hu's life turned upside down overnight but I'm excited to see how she turns things around.

I just want to say thanks to your wonderful explanation yesterday on land acquisition, I was able to easily understand their negotiations today. Xu Si is quite harsh but I like that he's being practical with her. He did spare her some time to listen to her proposal so hopefully she took that into consideration.

I don't find her Zhaoyang sneaky but I do find her character on the weaker side amongst the rest but hopefully when we get more backstory it'll fall into place.

A random thought but Xu Si working at TT Media seems so scandalous. LOL! He works alongside his ex who approached him with the question I knew would surface sooner or later. She wants to know if he was trying to rekindle an old flame by mocking her amongst the subordinates. Uhm… what? Lol. Apparently, that’s him trying to grab her attention. I know there’s also no harm in him working with Zhaoyang. However, why did it feel so sneaky when Zhaoyang got into the car with Xu Si after work. My mind is running wild haha. 😂

Ep.7 highlight:

😂😂 I can never keep up with Xu Si. Actually, I can't keep up with Jiang Hu and Xu Si. Their banter and tricks are hilarious. A girls tears are truly a man's weakness. She would get along so well with his mom.

Not sure if translations were right or not but I google translated the family tree and he's listed as the stepson of her mom. So I assumed they're step siblings but... yeah. I'll leave it at that.

One main thing the show has me tugging back and forth on is shipping the leads. At the end of Ep.5, Xu Si was harsh to Jiang Hu but also helps by denying partnership with her debtor until he pays back all of his debt (which is implied as the debt he owes Jiang Hu's father). What a mess I am LOL!
