I think what makes it bad on LMX's side is the fact that the writers have also been pushing his cleverness /cunning personality on us making us believe in it. So to me it seems out of character, but clearly, when they have 2 different types of things they want to project on the character this happens.

I almost want to say I have a new ship. LMX x Han Ye lol! But LMX is consistent towards DZY but they didn't make him consistent with his reasonings.
