You're welcome. I've never had an issue with the title. I was just exicited about another MZY and LYR project. I haven't read the novel but going by info in previous posts, the title is very fitting. Haven't come across the poem before, appreciate the title now I know the background.

I didn't know who Meng Ziyi was until I watched The Princess's Gambit. I liked her in that so I watched Blossom afterwards. Absolutely loved Blossom, Meng Ziyi, and her character Dou Zhao.

We all have our likes and dislikes, many might be opposites, but some might also be similar. Luckily, there is a lot of choice for us out there. But whatever our views, more respect and tolerance makes the world a better place.

Looking forward to watching Blossoms of Power when the time comes.

I know what you mean. I watched Blossom recently and haven't moved on. Already rewatched (although with skips). I came to it late so trying to catch some of their interviews, variety shows, etc. Meng Ziyi and Li Yunrui seem so comfortable and happy in each other's company. I am trying to find the words to express how much I love Blossom. The story, script, acting, cinematography, production were so good. It delivered the package. Can't believe I almost missed this drama. I binged it like crazy the past 4 days.

This CP was on another level. Loved how Dou Zhao/Shou Gu and Song Mo/Yantang were together, as equals. It never disappointed. The trust, love and support. The way they looked at each other, their gentle touches and embraces. We were treated to lovely moments even before they got together.
And we were lucky we didn't have to wait too long for that to happen. 

Loved that Dou Zhou and Song Mo had a good group of loyal people around them.

Amidst the seriousness, intensity and suffering, there was quite a bit of humour dotted throughout. It was unexpectedly funny.

The entire cast were brilliant. For me, one in particular... I loved Dou Zhao and how Meng Ziyi brought the character to life. Felt the range of emotions.

Blossom is going to stay with me, one I will revisit. It was so satisfying and filled the heart.

It was ep31 after she said she has kept the hairpin he gave to her. He looks at her and leans across from 14:13.

Some beautiful clothes, but there were too many costume and hairstyle changes for the FL which sometimes affected the continuity and flow between scenes. The most unneccessary was at the start of ep31. They even gave her a crossbody bag to go with the outfit! I just focussed on the leads embrace I was waiting sooo long for.

It could have been so much better if it maintained the quality of the first 19 episodes. But despite its many flaws (fault of the script and production) I still loved watching The Princess's Gambit. I was hooked from the start and was emotionally invested in the lead couple to see them through their journey. It was part of my every day for the last two weeks.

The montage of their time together at the end of ep36 was touching. To me, the ending was not clear (I wanted HE so much). The way it was shot was unlike the rest of the drama. It was holding onto hope. Like what they said about snow, it's not like she will never see [him] again.

Overall, I rate the drama highly based on the impact it had on me. I am going to miss SZY and JTH. Well done to Liu Xue Yi, Meng Zi Yi, and the rest of the cast. The OST was great, too.

Hi. Just using your reply to post my message, not aimed at you. 

I wasn't sure whether to reply to a post about AB's looks (I am not talking about difference in opinions on her acting skills), but I feel for her when I read so many personal attacks. I want to leave a reply on MDL to counter the negativity.

It's sad that AB has been the target of hate since a young age. To the point where she felt a need to publicly refute claims about her looks. From photos I've come across of her and her parents, I can see the family resemblance and growth from a child to now. I don't have a need to question her looks. I think she's beautiful.

As a parent, I hope my kids will never receive hate because someone doesn't like the way they look.

I am happy our leads got a happy ending. Although can't say I wasn't disappointed we didn't get a joyous one with the kids, after everything they went through. Didn't even get to see a baby bump before then. 

This ending has left me confused. I don't understand why they did not meet until a year later. So, this is when they reunite since XL left in their last scene? He missed the birth? It felt odd when they just stood next to each other rather than embrace. Part of their conversation sounded like they didn't have contact in all this time, but then they talk about their kids like XL already knew them.

Also, why release a wedding poster for the finale and not give us the wedding?!

Maybe a subtitle issue? In that scene I heard her plead with him to release (fàng) her to return to Yannan, not help (bāng).

Thanks so much for sharing what you know from the script. The second half sounds promising so far. I am really hoping for a happy ending. I am loving this drama. Glad it finally got released.
