Title Blossoms of Power Spoiler
Shen Xihe spent the last episodes mourning and missing Xiao Huayoung and rejecting Prince Xin's every advance,…
I should have said I haven't read the novel. It's just my thought on her development and that the new Xihe was a mix of the two.

Meng Ziyi was the one who offered this drama to Heyu, and Heyu accepted it after reading the script. Without her,…
Meng Ziyi came across a trending topic about their 2nd collab. She asked the team if they had contacted He Yu. They said they hadn't so she text him to ask "BoP?". He said "Okay", I think without even knowing the script.

Here's a link to an interview where they mentioned (at 13:30) https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=nZ1yCcgPgEE&list=WL&index=39&pp=iAQBsAgC

In his message after the final episode aired, He Yu said "Thank you, Meng jie. We will always be very good friends. Thank you sincerely for your trust."

This thing need an English title.
For a short time WeTV was calling it "Under the Three Rivers" on twitter. But that seems to have disappeared in recent posts and it's back to just San Xian Mi Hui.

I am *shocked* at how many people are calling the FML a slut bc of how she was with her ex-husband. SHE NEVER…
Expressing a different view on the drama and FL is one thing. But a recent post crossed the line with the extreme tone and language used to talk about the FL.

Although it was a merge, Gu Qingzhi was the dominant one - cold, decisive and ruthless. But I think there were glimpses of Shen Xihe - the softer more playful side. The balance between the two souls shifted during her growth. There were also signs of her growing affection for Xiao Huayong and I was left with no doubt about their love and devotion to each other.

Agree. Prince Xin wasn't a bad person. It wouldn't have made sense for Xihe to be cold to him in the end when he had sacrified himself to help pave the way for her. Before that point, she had to protect herself and her baby, but now there was nothing more to fear.

This is such a bizarre and unfairly harsh reaction that it almost feels like trolling? I have a hard time understanding…
I don't see what the FL did as being unfaithful. We have different views about the FL so should agree to disagree.

On the subject of cheating and double standards, I just want to point out that this is a costume drama set in a Palace where the Emperor has numerous consorts, Princes in secret relationships while pursuing the FL for their personal gain. And the ML, on the day after his wedding, encouraged to find a few consorts. But there was no mention of any of those. Instead, the FL was singled out and reviled as being a "slut" for what she did.

The people hating on drama ver FL will literally eat alive novel ver FL, she is way colder in the novel. And saying…
Shen Xihe spent the last episodes mourning and missing Xiao Huayoung and rejecting Prince Xin's every advance, making it clear... "I only have one husband, and that is Xiao Huayong" (ep 33).

As you said, she was a merge of Gu Qingzhi and Shen Xihe with both memories. There was character development throughout the drama, including discovering what romantic love was with her growing affection for Xiao Huayong. The Xihe in the latter half was not the same as the Xihe we started with but she stayed true to herself - I love the person she became.

The drama is not perfect and has flaws, but the (mis)understanding of the plot and interpretation of events by some people are quite off. And not all things are simply black or white, love or hate.

Title Blossom
I've rewatched this series so many times I finally noticed the dike of Ding's son at last I always had this question…
Same with me. When I first watched Blossom I wondered what happened to the son and thought it would have been nice for the kids to have grown up together. Then I saw him at the end on my 2nd rewatch. Don't know how I missed it before. Blossom ended eveything nicely.

Yup, I wish this drama success. I support Meng Ziyi in all of her work, and do so without putting anyone else down.

Not hapy with her but least the ratio of M vs F 's a bit more balanced. I basically consider her a self-satisfied…
Aside from our shared love for Meng jie, I was so impressed by everything else you said and your approach to things. You put forward your points so well and I couldn't agree more. We don't have to like everything and everyone, but I believe the world would be a better place with more respect and tolerance.

Sorry. I saw some of your efforts at the time and agreed, but the one-sided opinions were too intense and I didn't feel like joining in to talk to a brick wall.

Haha, and I love your post :) I was frustrated with some comments while this was airing so am glad I can share my view with someone who understands what I mean about Xihe. I also loved how she stayed true to herself throughout.

Yeah, the darker side of him when he turns up on her bed in ep 14. I loved Xiao Huayong but he wasn't perfect either. But a lot of viewers seemed to be quick to criticise/hate Xihe (who was a mix with a dominant cold Gu Qing Zhi) without considering her point of view, while overlooking Xiao Huayong's negative character traits.

One of my fave fls in the history of fls. And i like princess here more than mzy's blossom character. I'll rewatch…
I finished BoP last week and already rewatching. I've watched Blossom a few times. I love both Dou Zhou in Blossom and Shen Xihe. Difficult to decide between the two, the loving and loyal Xihe probably has the slight edge for me.

I understood why Xihe was cold at first, but she wasn't a bad person and was actually good to those close to her. She just didn't know what romantic love was yet (and we can't expect her to know everything we do as viewers). Xiao Huayong understood her. She dished out quick punishment to those who deserved it. She also wanted to empower women so they could improve their lives and set their sights higher... Like the advice she gave to her good Shen half-sister, her friendship with Bu Shulin, and the chance she gave to the Palace workers even though they fiddled the books. The growth made it more satisfying - from Princess to mother and Empress Dowager.

I wish they made it ep 37 because it's easily missed as an extra tagged on. It's too good to miss! Also, the special episode needs it's own MDL page linked to BoP page.
