Yes, there are many cliche elements used in this drama, like those scenes you've mentioned, but I personally still enjoyed it. There are many intense scenes and action, with little to no romance. I suggest watching it if you enjoy fantasy/action dramas.

I actually like how the drama isn't exactly identical to the webtoon. I'm watching "A Love so Beautiful" right now, and I felt like they were trying too hard to copy the original, so it wasn't refreshing. But the True Beauty director/screenwriter made this drama their own and included many new funny scenes that weren't in the webtoon. I actually think I like the drama more than the webtoon. I can't wait for more episodes to come!!
I just finished the drama, and the ending was unsatisfying. Like why tf cant they just carry Yoo Jin to the elevator?! Also I bloody hate Sung Won, he literally had the audacity to shoot Je Ha and drop the elevator rope after being rescued. The chemistry between Anna and Jeha was wack and cringey asf. There was so much more between Jeha and Yoojin, Annas character literally did nothing. I didn't get the ending, so who ended up being the president? Did Anna inherit JB company? Why didn't Anna want to justify her moms death???

I agree. I watched TKEM when it was on going and was with the hype, after the first 2 episode I got so bored and dropped it. I'm glad I watched Start Up after reading all the hate comments after it finished, hahaha.
