I can see your point and somewhat agree, but then again she did jump in front of XJ when the uncle was trying to kill him. Also, when they fell off the cliff she did suggest dying together. ^^
However, throughout the show you always saw how XJ stood for his love while she was more hesitant and easily swayed...
Enjoyed it a lot! The ending was kind of satisfying but seemingly also missing something but I don't know what exactly but I am happy with it... kind of... Also, I don't know if it was because I only paid attention to it after the second half of the drama, but the editing was getting kind of bad? Some scenes were really strangely or abruptly cut :(
Lastly, I would LOVE for the cast to have another drama again! I totally love Ju Jingyi and Zhang Zhe Han together <3
Just finished. I found it very enjoyable and easy going. Nothing to heavy to toy with my emotions which was needed after the last few dramas which made me cry oceans. The main couple did take long to be together but that is kind of typical. I really liked the parents from XY and XK was also really a funny boss. But one thing was a little irritating: at times you could hear XZL voice but other times he seened to have ben dubbed...? Also, there were quite a few cute scenes... cringey cute... I have to pause it cute... :P
I am glad that Lin Fang and Qing Hong got their happy ending! Admittedly, I also teared up when Huo Yang fainted away because I thought he had died... Phew! Someone here had mentioned before that Wen You would probably be the one to die and I only believed it when the funny uncle appeared! I kind of wished that they brought their kids to visit him ( the crazy uncle/physician) and Feng Bu Fei, but seeing Lin Fang and Qing Hong taking care of Wen You's kid was also a nice way to end it. Just so happy, that it is a happy ending and that Huo Yang became the next leader!
I have watched a few dramas this year, the ones that made me cry the most this year are The Untamed, Go Ahead, and this one. Seemingly with every funny and good scene, follows a scene which has me crying oceans...
Also, I would just really, really, reaaallly like to express my ultimate love for the character Huo Yang. To me, he is everything. Especially love how loyal he is and how he always has his Shifu's back <3
The more I watch this drama, the more I am convinced that the ending will not be a happy one, just like Nirvana in Fire... probably because Lin Fang was declared sick and poisoned since the beginning and because he's always mentioning that he will be dying either way... Just like Lin Shu in Nirvana in Fire... I am mentally preparing myself, even though I'm going to cry either way just like how I tried and failed to prepare myself for Qing Hong's family... :'(
Just noticed that the Screenwriter, Producer and Director also participated in Legend of Yun Xi.... I loved that drama but the ending had me heartbroken. They better not pull that again...
I'm happy with the ending. Happy that every one somewhat got their happy ending. I was surprised that everyone forgave Chen Ting but when I thought about it, it made sense, since they are a forgiving family and didn't tend to dwell on the bad things and past. However, I really thought that it would have been LX and JJ getting married. But I am still happy, that Li Haichao got his happy ending and that ZQ and JJ are now "official" siblings.
Also, thinking about it, everybody grew up to be a better person, every character developed... Even Li Haichao, who always said that he wasn't a well-educated man picked up a book at the end :P
But really, I would have loved to see LX and JJ getting married D':

YouTube uploads the DVD version which should be the complete version. That being said, I only read that the TV version tends to cut scene, but it does not mean that they have already cut scenes in the TV version of this drama... :D
Sometimes I think that HZQ really sees LJJ as a little sister only and I get my hopes up that he will not be involved in a love triangle. If it really isn't a love triangle, I do believe that he will get reaaally mad since they grew up as siblings and "cannot accept" romantic feelings between them. He will feel left out and heartbroken because it will not be the same anymore. Anyone else who thinks that this could be possible? ?

Did you know that there are two versions of this drama? The TV version and DVD Version. The TV version has more episodes than the DVD version because it is shorter in length (due to ads I believe). As I found out, the DVD version is also the more complete version, since they sometimes have to cut the drama for the TV version but the DVD version can be more complete since they are not "restricted" there.
