I like Wang An Yu in Forever Love. I can accept a ML who doesn't seem likeable in the beginning - e.g. ML in "New Life Begins" but not too drastic like "I've Fallen For You". We have seen this trope in so many dramas the ML pretending so not to gain attention for his true abilities so it is acceptable as long as not overboard. And I think this is a legit question, though I expected some people here to be really offended as if talking about their relative etc. lol.
FYI Gu Jin's original actor is Jing Boran who quit last minute after agreeing to film but I see why, the ML role…

Being a dude, I always need to have a ML that is not detestable if not I find it difficult for the FL to get attached. I dropped it in the first episode when the FL kept taunting the ML about getting rejected by the friend... probably nothing as compared to what you mentioned, but it just showed bad writing IMO.
You are right... it is silly that the bad guys can do anything they want. If in the past they can probably get away with corruption... now with social media etc... how can one do bad stuff so openly? IMO, they went too far in this aspect. Other than that, it is enjoyable.

For her it is just a task... just like killing people (murder)... IMHO, if killing is okay in the drama, this isn't considered going too far. It's too funny.

There isn't any detestable villains... everyone seemed normal... except in the beginning but they got removed real fast - which make the drama more believable.
I stopped at episode 15 or 18? Didn't feel like carrying on after they got together...
As if one ex-BF is not enough, then another love rival and they team up? For the first half everyone is quite likeable except for a couple of minor evil roles... then suddenly many of the characters became interestingly irritating...
The fact that we're starting those final episodes with yet another flashback... just proves that it should have…
Agree... just when I thought that it is finally back to the present, we have full episodes showing the past again... It is not unbearable but kinda too long at times.
Caught first 3 episodes last night... The script is so unnatural, felt really off. How the characters acted and talked were just too peculiar. Many parts just talking and doing stuff that didn't develop the plot or characters, really not interesting. Kinda looking forward to it because of the cast, but what a waste. Have dropped all 3 firefighters Cdramas I started so far, think just not for me.
