I have been waiting for them to get together but maybe abit slower on after they get together... with 16 episodes left, I guess it is going to be their struggles to adulthood, and may be misunderstanding or break up (I hope not since there isn't a strong 3rd party trope so far) which I dislike. I haven't read the novel so can only guess.

At the end of episode 14, she was hiding their relationship from public because of a friend which seems unnecessary with her being a straightforward girl so far... is that going to lead to a typical big fight etc?

Both the parents are s**t... this morning as I was driving to work , I was still thinking how they can give birth to such a fine lady.

Think the high school part is a bit too slow so I watched but didn't focus so much. It was not unwatchable but for adults can come across as too childish and typical. Now I am more keen when they are in University, but you have to go beyond episode 12 for that.

Even season one, I felt it became not as interesting and forced after the appearance of the Prince... so I think you are right, we prefer the mystery solving and not the political stuff.

Yes you are right that not long after season 1... their mannerisms changed too much... except Wang Kuan.

Watched the 1st episode last night, almost fell asleep. Ya Nei's character felt so awkward not just because they changed the actor, the mannerism somehow changed and it is just so unnatural. Xue Ying also felt so different compared to Season 1, so as Pei Jing. Only Wang Kuan is most consistent. Will wait for more episodes and the ratings before deciding whether to continue.

Watched the first episode... Lotsa wu xia vibe and I feel that romance is going to be minimised.... good for a change from the romance heavy period drama
