Yes you are right that not long after season 1... their mannerisms changed too much... except Wang Kuan.

Watched the 1st episode last night, almost fell asleep. Ya Nei's character felt so awkward not just because they changed the actor, the mannerism somehow changed and it is just so unnatural. Xue Ying also felt so different compared to Season 1, so as Pei Jing. Only Wang Kuan is most consistent. Will wait for more episodes and the ratings before deciding whether to continue.

Watched the first episode... Lotsa wu xia vibe and I feel that romance is going to be minimised.... good for a change from the romance heavy period drama

I agree. While I enjoy the drama, advice is not to think too much and just be aesthetically pleased by the leads. On the convenience or simplicity though, I am still waiting for how the FL can develop in 10 years to what she is today and holding 30,000 marine soldier?

Same. I am watching it because of the the leads but the rest is just so-so. Hope they cover how the FL can become how she is today - with her background etc. seems just too farfetched. Probably just watch it as a fun and noneedtobeserious drama if it continues the same...

Yes from the previous episodes when the SML took out the ancient book - I guessed he is the descendant of the vampire slayers.

The chemistry progression is okay as she was supposed to be cold hearted... gosh the pepper spray is so funny.
