I read quite a few sites yesterday, the spillover wrath from the Goddess is too much and thus it affected SF and I guess it affected her "trial" as well. So the 10th reincarnation heaven took pity on them (esp. SF) that they both reincarnated to what they are. For HC, you are right that he cannot love in the first place and thus made use of mosha love... he definitely know that if she regains her memory in this life he cannot get away with it. So far at ep. 44 I'd say they did a good job on this drama. For such a plot involving so many characters, the flow and link is good though there are still "WTH" moments that doesn't affect the big picture too much. The main plot that is affecting the main leads who made themselves so dear to us - makes us feel so much for them, wanna find out what happened to them, what is going to happen to them. The filler scenes are basically not too connected to the main plot and can be skipped easily without being lost.
