I think WT initially wanted to draw out her spirit to condition it into loving him and LL said she'll rather die. So how that works I am not sure as before he could do that her body was retrieved so WT had to find a substitute body in the flower demon. He initially wanted to destroy the flower demon's spirit and input 100% LL spirit but could only do 50/50 due to compatibility or something along the way. So the new LL was operating on partial memory of LL and flower demon. Remember the flower demon also forgotten some of her past.

This is really just a fluffy show. The start of the show misleads you to think that it is going to be pretty sophisticated, however it's obvious the focus is going to be more on the romance part as you watch on. I do want them to balance it up a little but guess the script is fixed. The characters still talk and act dramatically silly throughout the show but it is good for people who are not frustrated by this and hates misunderstandings instead. Not sure if that'll come in after that get together.
Like that the FL becomes more "girlie" and a bit awkward when the ML is around even at the first scene.

He wanted to get the GOW power for himself so he made the container with 99 souls for that purpose. The GOW power is so that he can control MS and not report to him which is his intentions from the beginning. So he may not know the 10 tribulations but he definitely is looking to harness some power for himself. Either from JTCH or that he found out that he can also get the power from GOW later. The previous story is such that the Monkey previously given him one half of the JTCH which he thought is the inferior half so he betrayed the monkey to try to get all of it.
