Romance of Tiger and Rose can be your next light filler... I really like Zhao Lu Si there, Ryan Ding was ok as well. I guess for newer period dramas L&R is just up there, Sleepless Princess faltered halfway and the rest just isn't to good reading the reviews. Ah, the eight has the same FL as Go Ahead lol

Completed drama.... have you caught Go Ahead? I am contemplating whether to start that one with 2 of the actors I like, but the FL... or Under the power? I assume you have watched the Romance of Tiger and Rose?

Chef Fang was really nice but a bit long, and I found that the FL was the one that is keeping me interested though my priority is normally the ML. I dropped it at 20+ episodes as the ML just didn't make it for me, as hard as I tried.

Agree, really depends on what you expect from the show... I wasn't expecting too much in this aspect so just don't dwell too much into it. This show is more of the feel good especially with the absence of hiding this, suspect that and misunderstanding this and that... guess this is quite the same style as Chef Fang, leads are rather straightforward in their feelings and not distracted.

Guess maybe part of me couldn't get over skate into love... lol

Oh that's cool, though I only watched more than half of Chef Fang - just wished that someone like the ML here was in Chef Fang lol.
Overlooking some stuff in the show like, why the FL always gets changed into women's clothing after being abducted? Who changed it for her?

Lol yes. One of the main reasons why I started C-dramas the summer... can focus on the drama without having to read subs. :) though sometimes I do read the chinese subs as well.

Caught ep 18, so far still good.

Saw a short scene in the end credits, I am again guessing the SML's foster father to be the irritating big baddie...

Just like many others I like how strong and rationale the FL is, and that she switches into a soft mode the moment she is in front of the ML. The ML I like that he is straightforward and unlike many other drama's MLs; he is not afraid to express his feelings to the woman he loves. He is also not rash like many other drama's MLs, he thinks of the consequences and the situation of the FL suppressing his anxiety. The villains in this show is a bit too powerful though, I hope the ML can become more powerful soon to go against them.

I think it is highly possible since it is just a narration and many things are still open.

LJ got set up bu NN father to save Ning highness who is abducted by NX but ended up injuring him seriously. So he is on the run and he joined XY to seek the antidote to save the emperor to atone for his error. In the end they didn't get the antidote and not sure what happened to them.

Happy for you that you are enjoying it, there are quite a lot of details to catch (especially if you are a fan) and some guessing work until quite late in the drama. Many of us took the shortcut of watching trailers LOL. Which episode are you at? I am rewatching the main parts of ep. 47-50 today, still tearing at the emotional scenes even so...

Yeah LAR is mentally and emotionally straining... This don't have to think too much to watch and it is really fluffy between the leads, I mean if other dramas the FL would have kick up a big fuss after learning the truth.

Based on ep. 35 it is sad.
