Nice to see you here as well! I was just watching an Netflix interview with the trio moments ago! I guess this is a good backup though it probably cannot fill up the emptiness especially with the bad Eng Sub that I am hearing so often. Sorry that I am only doing the Eng recap for some episodes. If you are at episode 12, you have 6-7 more episodes of sweetness to go before needing to switch to the emotional mode. This show is really quite different from others whereby I'll find the FL questionable as C-Dramas often tend to portray them as so. I find the FL more "direct" than the ML in this... abit like our MY as compared to GT. :D

Each of them have different priority, the FL being the secret of thr stone and the ML being the death of his brother which at this point they have yet to link up.
Darn! The show is starting to be sad... :'( Really really like the character of the FL, even much more than the ML. She's so strong, mature and understanding, really unlike those silly FLs in other dramas of similar genre.
The feeling of wanting to quickly know the development but yet know sadness is imminent. :(

Yes the setup that got ML into danger actually worked in the in the ML's favor as he once saved her again. However towards the end the SML found out so he is bound to do something. The gap is because he needed to find out if the emperor is responsible for the brother's death and he asked for a month to investigate. He wanted to keep a distance. What I am not happy is that the woman you love is hanging by a rope because of some stupid trap you set... instead of pulling her to safety you keep asking about someone who is dead. Sure it affects the FL as well but that shouldn't be the reaction.
Just completed both episodes 17-18, ep. 17 whole episode expecting something bad to happen and the sequence of events was rather peculiar :( and I repeat bloody Mr Bai, so incompetent or just trying to murder? Thankful in ep. 18 it turned out well and super sweet! However the stupidity of Mr Bai rubbed off on the ML? After IOTNBO this the another I felt sorry for the FL and wanna #%&# the ML.

CY insisted that she didn’t know who the abductors were and XY wanted her to return home for her safety. CY refused fearing she may endanger the household since she is the target. XY suspect that CY is holding on to something that the abductors want. CY could only think the she is the Emperor’s adopted daughter and perhaps they wanted something from the Emperor? XY then sent her back to the palace to rest.
LJ found the same totem on the dead men matching to that from Song Mansion, XY suspected that CY abductors are linked to his brother’s death. XY was seen talking to his sleeping aunt that he will request the emperor to let him take over his brother’s position in the palace. He knew that his aunt would be mad if she finds out but he needs to do this for a purpose.
CY’s teacher came to visit her upon hearing about the abduction attempt. CY thinks they might have been her father’s enemies, but her teacher cannot recall him having any. Even the Emperor and himself owes her father a lot. The teacher advised CY to return to Xue mansion for her own safety. However she was afraid the aunt may recall her pig transformation and thus the teacher handed her a bottle of portion that will make the aunt forget if she consumes it. The emperor must not know that the stone is in CY.
XY discovered that CY’s maid is behind aphrodisiac incident. Her excuse is to help XY and CY consummate their marriage. XY seemed rather pleased at this intention and let her off to be punished by CY instead. XY went to the palace to look for CY and informed that he has taken over his brother and in charge of guarding the palace. He wished that XY will trust him more. CY feared that she may scare XY away if she tells him about the stone.
XY and LJ then visited where his brother stayed when he was alive and felt very nostalgic.
That evening, XY saw some palace maids crying and burning paper with the word "Yun Concubine" at a pavilion. He learnt that she was once the emperor’s favorite but was executed when she was discovered to have a relationship with another man. This incident was not to be mentioned again and it seemed that she was often seen with an imperial guard. XY seemed to know something when he learnt that she is called “Fei Xue”. An exhilarated CY saw XY and they had a meal together and want to tell him her secret. She revealed that her father had a stone that followed the emperor to war and can foresee the future. However the stone was missing when the father died and that it has gone into her body. If it is used, she will turn into the animals in the Chinese Zodiac. The Emperor was looking for the stone and in order to protect her, this was being kept a secret. She felt sorry for hiding it from the emperor who brought her up. XY seemed trouble by the information he gathered earlier, he suspected his brother was killed in the hands of the emperor.
The next day, Bai told XY the totem is an ancestral symbol of “Qingyun” Sect who were nobles that does dirty work for others. It seemed that the temple that was burned down with his brother killed in it was a cover up and his brother might have been killed by the emperor. Bai suggested to use CY as bait to lure the abductors, as the relationship between CY and XY will be complicated if the emperor was really the killer.
Then we see CY hugging XY who told her that he would fetch her home the next day as it is her birthday. They also prepared some nice clothes for her, however, to make her stand out if the abductors strike.

The other audience did not enjoy the performance and boo-ed her/threw stuff to get her off the stage. XY came forward to protect her on the stage.
The aunt heard the song as well and remembered it as the song she hummed to young XY and his brother at bedtime. Their parents were stationed at the borders, so she was tasked to look after them. She did not expect someone to know this song after some many years and that the singer (she didn’t know that it was CY) should be someone who has been through a lot of hardship.
XY confronted CY who compared kinship needing sincerity and trust to flower needing sunlight and rain. She believed with that she can change XC to be willing to meet her. At this moment the aunt’s maid came knocking on the door looking for the “singer”. A surprised CY went into hiding.
The time came for CY to turn into pig and she fled so not to let XY discover her transformation. XC also realised the timing and wanted to go find CY. His advisor commented that this is a good chance for him to sever ties with CY and let the Xue family handle it. XC thought that no outsider could understand her situation and would treat her like a monster. He also knew that CY have taken a liking to XY as she was willing to use up a dream for him; so in order for her to be able to stay at Xue’s mansion, it’s best to keep the transformation a secret.
CY made her way to the aunt’s room while evading the hooded guy’s men who knew of her situation. She began to gorge on the food in the aunt’s room like a pig and XY arrived to help hide her identity from the aunt. He sensed something wrong about her. The aunt managed to lift CY’s veil and fainted upon seeing her appearance. XC came at this moment to usher CY away and XY brought the aunt back.
The next scene brings us to the following day at a place called Song Mansion (where hooded guy was stationed). A military dog had followed the scent of the expensive cosmetic and it is highly suspicious that it was coming from some run-down building. XY’s men waited too long and when they stormed into the mansion, the occupants have escaped. XY and men spotted a suspicious totem/symbol.
At their new base, the hooded guy blamed his men for failing to capture CY as they have only one chance left after pig transformation, after which the stone will lose its effect. The men reported that the old men having the other half of the book is still in the city and they will track him down. Hooded guy gave them a month to capture CY and get the book, or die.
XY had a bad dream that CY turned into a pig and tried to kiss him. He obviously missed her.
CY woke up in human form and found that XC brought her to the Palace and left at dawn. CY cannot recall what happened and is worried that XY have discovered her secret. XY missing CY went to the palace to look for her and told her she acted funny at the courtesan house. She explained that she might have been drunk. Hooded guy’s men suddenly appeared to abduct CY and XY fought them off. CY at this point recalled the skill, scent and eyes of her life-saving benefactor and linked him to XY. As they were pursing the abductors, Concubine Su interrupted and the leader escaped.
The couple of abductors XY captured committed suicide and he suspected the man behind must be some big shot. CY feared that she might bring harm to the Xue household if she goes back so she decided to stay put in the palace.
