The Marquis was browsing women portraits and taken a liking to none. He was then shown a caricature of the lead’s wedding day. He discovered he has been duped into believing CY is ugly and sickly that he called off the arrange marriage with CY.
XY was looking through his late brother’s possessions when CY approached him with goodwill tea. He believed she was up to no good after the dungeon incident with her suddenly changed in attitude. He asked CY to put his brother’s possessions on the shelf and she found an invoice for some expensive cosmetics and began to cheekily question XY about it. The invoice was dated a day before the brother met with his mishap and they speculated that they may be able to uncover the truth by finding out who the receiver was. XY felt generous and allowed CY to leave the house for shopping, giving her money. In the streets they saw the caricature as well and lamented that such gossip spread like wildfire. She bought sugared candy to coax XC who was mad at her not leaving with him at the dungeon. The Marquis was in the same Courtesan House as XC and spotted CY. When CY and XC met she explained that she couldn’t leave with him as both of them will be imprisoned for going against the Emperor’s will. She had in her mind to escape and go on a trip with XC and planned to do so by escaping while pretending to fetch XY’s aunt. The Marquis eavesdropped and learned of their plans and schemes to hijack. XC sends CY back and vows that this is the last time she is coming back to Xue’s Mansion.
The following day, CY packed so much stuff as if she is leaving forever. XY sensed something amiss but still sees her off and instructed his servant to take care of CY. XY’s aunt knew that CY is coming and vowed to make things difficult for her. During the journey, CY pretended to answer the call of nature but was captured by the Marquis. TY discovered that CY has been abducted and asked the servants to report back home.
XY at that time was practicing his swordplay and had a bad feeling. His master likened him to NN earlier when he received news of the abduction and rushed off. CY thought she had been abducted by bandits and the Marquis identified himself and his intentions. CY was afraid that the Marquis would expose XC and get him into trouble and pretended to flatter him to get in his good books and buy time. She was released from the restraints but fearing the Marquis’ intention to quickly consummate their wedding (that never happened), she tried to escape but was still captured.

CY then saw plants instead of ghosts she initially thought. She mocked XY for ignoring CC in the morning and now planting the flowers she gave. XY explained that people are people, flowers are flowers, must be treated differently. XY then playfully snipped the plants to the horror of XY who named the plants parts arms, thighs and head. There CY understood that she has misunderstood XY for killing and burying body parts. However she was still going about her snipping and XY pulled her - they shared a romantic moment. Awkwardness sets in and they separate. XY offers his hand which CY took while going back as she thought that she is leaving him soon so no harm.
CY and TY packed their luggage to leave, and at this moment XY barged in with men knowing that CY has sent a secret letter to the Emperor. He suspected he was to be betrayed and wanted to torture her in the dungeon into revealing who is the instigator. TY went to find XC for help.
CY warned that the whole clan will be executed if they kill a princess; XY accused her of being a spy and regretted trusting her. He softened a bit after CY insisted she didn’t write anything to harm him. XC came at this moment and in the confrontation the eunuch took XY aside to show him the contents of the letter – nothing to harm him but rather saying that she is unhappy and wants the marriage annulled. The Emperor thought of this as a couple’s dispute and expects them to make up. XC wanted to take CY away but CY chose to stay in order not to go against the emperor’s wishes. XY is puzzled why she chose to stay but his impression of her improved and ask for silk (belonging to his aunt) to be given to CY. We learnt that the aunt gone to a temple to avoid the wedding that she opposes.
To the people who are criticizing about the 12 yrs age gap of JCW and KYJ in backstreet Rookie, what can you say…
Haha... I think JCW and KYJ is still okay... the 20 yo I can't the moment I read about it. They acted in the first and most recent Meteor Garden respectively, how old was SY when the first version released?

Think the frame of mind is that the FL thought that the ML is only bothered about reputation etc. and couldn't be bothered to explain herself (which is stupid). The ML as you know just wanted to protect her but got lied too. Basically the show is about either party or both parties not being able to be truthful because of some reason which is common for such genre.
Just completed episodes 11 & 12... so sweet, cute and funny! Shan't give any spoilers. If you like the show so far do catch these episodes, think it'll be okay even without english subs. Looking forward to the release tomorrow... :)
Btw, the mom of the figure skater from Skate into Love is in this as well.

No worries, I actually just briefly browse through the drama again and got all the details (wrote it in a discussion above). It is actually not too complicated, I probably wasn't too focused when watching it .

Some stuff I remembered from episodes 9 & 10: ML found out that FL lied to him about losing her innocence and was so angry and confronted her. FL was expecting to have the ML accompany her she she could sleep through the night but they quarreled over the lie instead. The FL could also smell the scent of a woman from the ML since he just returned SNN place.
We also found out that the ML parents passed away when he was young so the brother took over the task to protect the country and the aunt become their guardian.
When the aunt returned she made thing difficult for the FL and punished her. Somehow the ML carried the FL to bed was supposed to be by her side by had to leave to get punished in place of her. Left alone to sleep, she dreamt that the ML was being drugged to perform lewd act with a female and she woke up being very angry. There was also this scene when his subordinate arranged for a lady to serve the ML so the FL misunderstood him for being a womaniser. So she predicts that he will let her down within a month and returns to the palace whereby both of them signed on separate divorced letters. The emperor summons the FL and ask her if she thought the assailant looked the the ML and other stuff about him. By accident he gets to see the her side of the divorce letter and reprimands her to stay by the ML side as his spy. Then the Emperor summons the ML and hints for one of the prince to take over the army. We also learnt that the brother was believe to have died in a fire while protecting the tablet of the royal ancestors.
So we know that this is the 10th dream and she has 2 more credits left. The FL confide to the 2ML and their teacher that she believes the ML cannot neutralise the dreams and perhaps it is because of his brutal acts in the war.
So the FL father died because he used all 12 credits to help the Emperor and died and she got adopted. They keep this secret so she won't get used.
