Ah.. I'm sorry to disappoint you with my spoiler... But I do suggest that you keep it in your Plan to Watch list…
heh heh... I started watching this on Friday evening as I dropped "Mr Honesty" and for "Brainless" and not too cringy watching it is okay. The FL indeed acts weird but probably cause she is from HK and more familiar with Cantonese? Even so she is always like doing her expressions to herself, almost like doing a rehearsal in front of a mirror. She is cute nevertheless but I can imagine Zhao Lusi playing this role, the character is almost similar but the stupidity is more acceptable in Zhao Lusi's case as she is a a dream so everything is possible. For this show, the FL being so lucky is just so forced. The rest of the shows you mentioned are all too many episodes - I was contemplating "Ashes of love" as it is affiliated with "Skate into love" but cannot bring myself to start it.
Based on my memory, episodes 1-4 okay, 5-6 so-so, 7-8 bad, 9 so-so. 10 good.
Yes it should be fine, unlikely to missed out much since it is mostly fillers and how the ML and his the GF relationship deteriorated... so it is basically one misunderstanding after another which is like on repeat
I am amazed that that you completed it... I started it when it came out some weeks back and put it on hold and this weekend started again and only managed till episode 5 (2 parts per episode). It's really boring with lots of weak dialogue and nothing to look forward to. Many thick-skinned characters pestering the leads repeatedly etc. I can just leave it running in the background and not miss anything at all...
As many mentioned before me, episode 10 is the best so far, hope it continues to be so. If wanna fast track can catch episode 1-4 then 9-10 and probably won't get lost.
The only the saving grace is the little sister. The second couple for me is just there so that they can plot another lie, boring. You are lucky you stopped at 18, after that until 25-26 is even worse...

LOL, with changes I actually meant something more subtle - like when the leads suddenly become blind that causes a misunderstanding or when an antagonist suddenly become stupid or kind so that a main cast can live... If it doesn't make sense it normally doesn't... some of these dramas have a soap opera feel to it...
For Wujia you are probably right, I really like "The Romance of Tiger and Rose"... since it is a dream, anything can seem feasible. That is the best I watched, or probably one of the few Wujias I watched during this period since I didn't complete "The Untamed". "Young Blood" I also watched but not as convincing as I'd like.

I think one of the important things being if the rest of the nonsense is still within my threshold, there must be something especially in the leads that attracts me. There have been times these couple of months whereby the plot was rather thin but I am drawn to the lead C/P probably like just as you described. One example is "Intense Love", they are just so cute together and individually even though their scenes are pure fluff, spinning around etc. I do like this type of feel good without needing to think too much. Just really hate those forced plots - misunderstanding, people suddenly changed etc.... but I do think 24 episodes for C-Drama is the max, having seen more than a dozen in 3 months.
Thanks for the review. I was still keeping it in my "Plan to Watch" list and these that you mentioned caught my attention:
"It is annoying how the story can be easily solve with just a few honesty but ..." "there are unnecessary plots added to make it more dramatic"
I really detest fillers especially those that disrupts the plot or even the relationship of the leads. Just makes it more unbelievable and taking the viewers for a ride. More than often it just makes it feel lesser after the fillers and the good vibe is gone.
Going to remove this from my list after posting this comment.
i haven't watched the untamed yet, i wonder if it's good
Ya and now the fans are flooding the reviews section... agree it is too long, the first 7 episodes could have been done in 4, too much talking. I can multitask while watching it and not miss anything.
Now the waiting game yet again...
