I think many people think/feel likewise.

I have a feeling if I continued it would have gone much lower... up to ep. 23 it is a 6-6.5 for me.

The lowest I even given is a 4.0 for a Kdrama --- so maybe I am nicer lol

I dropped this at ep. 23... Based on my scoring it is 6.5, I don't use the full 1-10...

So far so good and we are more than halfway thru... the other "rebirth" show the signs began when they got married and she moved in to his household --- and I dropped it after struggling to episode 23 (out of 40).

It is actually not necessary referring to someone old just because of the word "lao".

LOL, I did laugh at the part when the ML teared when his "legends" got trampled on... and when he failed to convince his ex-partner.

For the FL, like you mentioned, her mannerism were just like a teenager...

He knew she was up to no good... for a soldier who faced rebels, mercenaries, real army and had guns pointed at him - it shouldn't be too difficult for him to overcome a lady he is cautious about... She was on their side but betrayed him by trying to sell the map to the other side.

Lao Zi is actually like a slang for father... when used here it means that he is superior with a sense of arrogance... loosely explained - Here it is saying he is of high authority and she is his woman...

Thanks! I will give it a few more episodes... I do like how the child actors are doing especially the young Deok Im - just that there was a fair bit of fillers (which happened in "red sky"). Just hope the pace picks up from ep. 2. I started on a few Ddramas so will do episode 2 over the weekend. :)

So I am not alone thinking the FL's acting is a bit off, get it that it is more towards comedy but that the ML did well, without feeling out of place.

I mean... she saw someone trying to hide a body... No matter how extraordinary the FL is, she has to be not just mentally strong to accept that - it is not just dislike. I just wished that the ML just knocked the traitor out instead of slitting her throat... I am quite sure he is able to do so? unless there was something to suggest she was still alive?

Got a feeling the Pei dude and ML's sister won't have a HE.

Nevertheless really love how the leads are handling their crisis atm, really chill and composed.

Just completed the first 2 episodes, quite a light and funny watch... though I still prefer my 冰神 😄
