Just completed the final 2 episodes and I must I am quite disappointed besides the HE. It was just so messy and abrupt. I had to go watch the ending of episode 22 cause the start of episode 23 seemed so detached. Then it happen with again with 23 - 24 like it is bad editing... it happened before in earlier episodes.

Crucial main plots suddenly get cleared in a flash and couples suddenly get formed, all condensed in 2 episodes. Fortunately they had time to feature the HE of the main CP.

Started well but shame it ended this way. Maybe I just watched 2 fantastic episodes of YAMG thus made it look worse.

I am quite sure it was him, just that he wore glasses.

Saw ep. 13-14 released and immediately watched without stop... what a roller coaster ride. I really like how the whole competition scene went. Even the ML of "Summer Again" guest starred as one of the contestants! The interaction between the leads even though I knew what to expect after watching the trailer, is still so wow.

The ex is a concern though... but even more so the the body language of the ML at the end, sign of what is imminent :'(

Even so looking forward to tomorrow's episodes.

YT yes but not QJJ LOL. Her main struggle/issue is getting YT to wake up his idea. This reminds me of one part I wish they could have focus more on besides the Aerospace and YT's colleague - a bit more focus on QJJ. I know she has already gone through the struggles in those 10 years and now really accomplished but I am sure there should be something more about her besides being smitten with YT.

I mean those arranged marriage in the Cdramas - 娃娃亲 but it is just an example to show the difference in the challenges faced in reel and real life.

Yes, 2nd couple is what I meant. YAMG is the first Drama I watched with Dilraba in it. I didn't fancy her aesthetics in The Long Ballad and even before watching YAMG I was a bit Skeptical. Yang Yang I watched him in Love o2o and Ling's Avatar so he is fine - but his character here is still my fav out of the 3. If a 2nd CP brings some value to the drama then it is fine. Check out Skate Into Love, I love it too but it has 5 CPs!

I am not too worried about the technical stuff since I am an engineer (of cos not an aerospace engineer), just that this is something I rather not watch here - I prefer to watch "The Martian" or "Interstellar" if I want something like this.

Yes I really like this one though I am not going as far as what I did for my previous favs. Translated episode recaps etc... LOL

Yes you are right about my age group and also I am a guy - so I am not sure if that makes a difference as well. I like it that struggles are real, something most of the people are facing in the real life - aging parents, job stability etc. and the they not presented in a overbearing way. Many other dramas with the usual dramatic challenges of arranged marriages, bad blood between the family etc... Don't think many of us can ever experience that no matter what age group. You know another difference that a MDLer that I chat a lot with mentioned? - there is no second CP so far which I like as well. Why must the besties form a second CP etc? Based on their age group of the leads, peers should have already gotten married, or not attached due to some reason(s).

One thing I do not enjoy so much though is the focus on the Aerospace - it took up more than 1 episode between ep. 9-10. Not sure if it is because it coincides with China's space programme...

I won't compare this to FIYS or even LS as they are all quite different.

So far I have rewatched YAMG and watched the trailers to know most of what is going to happen. I haven't done this since L&R. :)

Yes I watched FIYS. I'll say it is quite different on many aspects just because YAMG is quite different from many dramas - especially the ML who is flawed in a more "realistic" way, I am comparing this to dramas of a similar genre (and not the slice of life type). ML in FIYS is almost perfect and the FL is likeable in a different way as compared to the one in YAMG. FIYS is really focused on the issues faced by professional gamers including the romance and in YAMG I am say the gaming part is just an important catalyst? I like both MLs and I prefer the FL in YAMG - they are both straightforward ladies but QJJ won me over with her EQ, who doesn't like her? I like FIYS for the witty dialogues and the romance part is more swoon-worthy. I really love YAMG for the realistic development, subtle interaction between the leads but makes me root for them. I re-watched YAMG just to get to make sure I don't miss out some of the details (if you get what I mean).

Judging from the ratings here, it should do at least a 8.7-8.8 like you say. At least on par with FIYS.

I think they are still too small here in MDL to do any damage for the actors to notice. Just that it is a shame if ppl here decided not to watch the drama because of them.

When was this filmed/produced? Looks like sometime back? ML in trailer, I prefer his look in "In a class of her own"...

I think some of them are fans of LS? Suddenly many reviews of that one popping up - or they started watching that because of YAMG. I think they are very different though some may think otherwise.

She seems and probably is really different from the the character Bei Wei Wei she played... Sad but it happened so guess we won't be seeing her again.

Wow, I thought it was just 3 of them - the effect is so big? Anyway in Qianxun the ratings is 4.8/5.0 which is super high. That is why I trust the ratings there more than here. That being say, I will do my part now to help it recover bit here (I have only one account).

Thanks for the heads up! That sounds really confusing... the plot is like this Korean drama. Such plot requires really good execution if not any loopholes etc will seem very obvious. Reminded me of this drama "consummation" which I drop as it became too much unless there is something else that attracts you.

Guess this is very important to me so I won't venture into it.

Caught the first 2 rather short episodes last night, liking how the story is developing so far.

While I like Zhang Yuxi, I have to agree with you on the part of comparing her with the other actresses. Probably shouldn't compare or if need be make sure there are stats to substantiate?
