Rje kept choosing bad projects again and again. I genuinely have never seen any kdrama actor pick these much bad…
I feel like she's just accepting every lead role offer without caring about the script because wdym all the dramas with her as the FL are either flops or she plays very poorly written female characters? She's not an exceptional actress esp in her generation but since she's getting consecutive offers for a lead role, I expect her to choose better assuming she has a lot of options š
ML was right when he snapped at FL back in the hospital that she couldn't even take care of herself so why did she bother becoming the guardian of a whole baby? I cackled when she got offended but it was the truth. She took responsibility of the baby but pushed all the responsibilities to ML. she treats the baby like a pet fish and expects it to survive on its own after buying it an aquarium for it to swim in. seems like she only provided a shelter for the baby but it's the ML who provided a real home š
on another note, the actress playing the FL should really examine the scripts she picks.
It's ok to admit she got ps because her face shape completely changed which can't simply be attributed to weight…
Is it really jumping to conclusion if the proof is glaring? When she appeared on hierarchy, most avid kdrama fans thought she's a new actress because she's barely recognizable and again, that's fine. idk why yall have to insist she only had weight loss instead of just not talking about her face at all. otherwise, there will always be people who'd argue that it's not just weight loss.
Yeah, meh, I donāt think heās getting roles like that. I donāt see how a rich kid could be that afraid of…
Rather than connections, it's probably bc of weight loss and ps that she's getting more roles now. The v-shaped face is a huge trend in korean beauty standards now and she only started getting lead roles consecutively and even simultaneously after her face changed and she lost weight.
I dropped this drama bc I don't like how they wrote the FL's character and the SML has more screentime with herāmaking it difficult to latch on the budding romance between FL and ML. Now, I'm just watching the bts clips of baby woojoo.
She look like a paper doll. If you are only 40 kg. You will definitely have a perfect thin face without getting…
It's ok to admit she got ps because her face shape completely changed which can't simply be attributed to weight loss. she still had jaws when her face was round but now her face is v-shaped and she obviously had her jaws shaved. It's the current enhancement trend in koreaājust look at kpop idols. It's her face and body anyway so there's no shame in having ps, esp since actors rely on their looks (aside from talent) to land roles.
Why did Jeong Eui ruin her face? She looked good in Our Beloved Summer and 18 Again. Now I canāt even look at…
But she actually started getting more lead roles right after she got ps and lost weight. It's just sad that the korean beauty standards got to her but it's also understandable because it's hard to get opportunities for a lead role if you don't have the face they want for a female lead.
Now that I think about it, the whole youth romance trope between the grandparents is probably because the grandma is dying and the grandpa is sick, it's like fulfilling the love that didn't flourish during their heydays. it also makes sense that the grandma is trying to pair up haran with any guy because she must be worried that haran would completely shut everyone out once she passes away because another loved one "left" her.
There's also something heartwarming about the whole idea of the once-full of life haran saving chan from misery and now, chan's the one full of life and saving her from misery. as opposed to other comments saying it's a white knight trope, i think this is a reciprocal one. they saved each other from different points in their lives.
It was stupid. You know what actually, I don't know where you're based cause here in England, that stunt she pulled,…
Stalking incidents get taken seriously there? I hope the same for South Korea because I remember there's a Korean case where the girl filed a police report about her online stalker but apparently, in Korea, they don't do anything unless the stalker already caused harm. So they let the stalker go and sometime later, he went to the girl's home and pretended to be a delivery guy, rang on the doorbell and when the girl's little sister opened the door to get the package, the stalker barged in. He ended up killing the girl and her whole familyāall because they don't take stalking reports seriously in SK.
I was gagged by the plot twist on ep 2 because I was so convinced she couldn't remember Chan only because the trauma forced her to forget him until they revealed the back story. Anyway, this seems like an interesting healing drama and I'm also rooting for the romance between the second leads and the grandparents!
why are people calling this series a baby propaganda with all seriousness when there had been dramas like this before: welcome to waikiki s1, three dads and one mom, my little baby, wonderful life (which is also about the baby being used a plot device for forced close proximity to make the main couple fall in love), etc. if anything, the drama portrays more the struggles of parenthood while trying to maintain your sense of individuality (cant find the right word for it but basically wanting to maintain your own sense of self in life and career outside of being a parent).
Why would you recommend this to people who like rom com, doesn't rom coms kinda make or break due to their leads…
Eh, because I just watch rom-com to kill time so I don't really mind if the leads have chemistry or not as long as the plot and conflict can keep me watching.
Why would you recommend this to people who like rom com, doesn't rom coms kinda make or break due to their leads…
Because personally, rom-coms work for me as long as the plot is good enough. Like with spring fever, it doesn't exactly make my heart flutter but the plot and writing kept me hooked anyway. i'm also not discounting the fact that maybe it's just me and some others who don't see the chemistry lol
The plot is fun and this is recommended for those who just like a rom-com. The actors are undoubtedly good too. I think people just find it boring because the leads don't have a chemistry as a couple. Their interactions don't make you kick your feet or make your heart flutter.
Personally, I still think the best gumiho drama is My Girlfriend is a Gumiho because of the simple but successful plot execution and Shin Min-ah's stunning visual is really convincing for a gumiho role (same with Kim Taehee when she played the role of a gumiho in Tale of the Nine-tailed Fox but that drama was just tragic af; I don't mean Hyeyoon isn't pretty but a gumiho's beauty is described to be captivating and seductive and Hyeyoon is more adorable than seductiveākoreans probably have the same idea since they praise particular celebrities for having a gumiho beauty).
I believe Song Wei Long has his own studio now so he's his own boss. Yu Zheng didn't just spread rumors about him. He reportedly blocked casting offers for Song Wei Long when he was about to leave his agency. Yu Zheng denied it but considering that SWL wasn't on screen for quite a while during that time, I believe Yu Zheng was actively sabotaging SWL's career to make him regret leaving his agency.
He cant disprove the victims allegations because there is enough evidence to support them. There is strong evidence…
I don't even stan him but I think you're misunderstanding on purpose. The case isn't about him being a bully because the three accusers either deleted their posts or admitted their claims were false. This lawsuit is for him to GET PAID by his accusers because of the financial impact of those allegations. And he lost simply because only he submitted evidence while the other side didn't. So it's like fighting the air because it's one-sided.
As I watch this, I keep thinking who will make the perfect FL and ML if they remake this into a Korean version.
If we're gonna consider the vibes of Lusi and William, I think Park Gyuyoung (Celebrity kdrama), Nana, Moon Gayoung, and Kim Jiwon would fit the role because they all have that air of sophistication and maturity and have played both pitiful and cunning type of characters before. They also have the visuals Korean news anchors usually have. For men, I'd go for more mature type of actors like Ji Changwook, Lee Joongi, Park Haejin, or Byeon Wooseok (saw him as the villain on Strong Girl sequel). They look mature enough to be the next in line in inheriting the company and look like they'd dote on their lover but can also be cunning.
Sometimes this fear of heights is also associated with an attraction to the abyss; there's an inexplicable and…
From today's (or was it yesterday?) update, his older brother is calling for an investigation. An audio of him screaming and crying saying he was wronged before he passed away is going viral. According to his brother, there were 16-17 people in the party Yu Menglong attended. He was also pushed to keep drinking heavy alcoholic drinks to the point of him not being able to walk anymore. Netizens were able to dig up a CCTV footage of Yu Menglong with a director but the director denied being in the same place. However, before the incident, the CCTV footage showed the director was with him and even had his hand on Yu Menglong's shoulder while Menglong looked like he was in a daze. The director now deleted his post of denial and isn't answering any calls either.
