Also .. if I were mueng Nam and someone messed up my car as bad as Deuan’s friends did I would not have been that calm I would have been LIVID. I guess maybe it’s because he’s rich but wtf heads would roll if that were me lol

My exact thought, the plot doesn't seem to advance at all instead the episode of filled with bad jokes that aren't…
There really is no saving this show since it seems to be more focused on the over the top comedy that’s just not funny.

Yeah, it's really bad. They started with a solid pilot but it's now drowning under juvenile and now racist comedy,…
That’s always a good sign cuz people get pressed when one drama gets more praise than their favorites so they try to find any little insignificant thing to roast a good drama for.

Ok some of you will hate to hear this but this drama is a hot mess. The plot is literally taking a back seat to the horrendous and over the top comedy and sadly the jokes never land… Pi and Mork are definitely cute but it’s super hard to root for them when the script and direction makes Pi super unlikable and annoying when it’s obvious to the audience that Mork is trying to romance him and not be his rival. The only saving grace for me is Deuan and Meen but even then that becomes a tough pill to swallow when Deuan becomes unnecessarily mean to Meen and bullies him into doing all their school work but makes it seem as we are supposed to feel sorrow when Deuan finally does show a momentary glimpse of affection like yikes… talk about toxic boyfriend! And yet it’s still made to be funny… also why is it that the Deuan and Meen’s storyline have this one random narrator that only Deuan can hear??? It makes absolutely no sense… and I’m sorry this last episode with the Indian costumes didn’t help me like this drama anymore than I did before. I love the cast such as Phuwin and Neo but this is not it….

Also I personally don't really like seeing this rival plot either (or the way it is portrayed here) it works in…
Thank you for sharing your thoughts as I appreciate the ability to have an open dialogue. The situation with Pi and Mork just comes off so forced to me because there is supposed to be this rivalry but really it’s all in Pi’s head as Mork is not only trying to be nice to him in person but also in the shadows.... so as a viewer I don’t really see any reason to “hate” Mork... but as you said the story is through Pi’s point of view. But knowing that it’s through his prospective and seeing it through his eyes there has been no reason given for his outburst other than him being an overly dramatic and expressive person filled with rage and jealousy. Lol. Perhaps I’m missing something here and they will reveal it later or they will make an even bigger deal when pi finds out that Mork is his unnamed penpal and Pi will be upset that he was “lied to and mislead”.

Idk maybe I was the only one confused but I felt the timing of that scene was misplaced lol

Oh that makes sense but it was placed right after the scene where he was at home and his mom was pestering him to say thank you to Mork for saving him and he refused... and then the next thing you know we are at the est cola scene so I thought it was after the stroke

So far this series is fun and All the characters are engaging and interesting but this is definitely one of those PWP (minus the p*rn) series. The characters are over-the-top and their motivations reflect that. But if you keep that in n mind you’ll enjoy this series more.

One of the things that bother me though is how mean Pi is being to Mork who obviously is trying to be genuine to Pi and I get that Pi was hurt in the past by fake friends but we only saw that unravel in once scene in the first episode... thus making Pi’s outburst towards Mork seem unmerited and out of pocket. It almost makes Pi unlikeable. But I’m sure they’ll find a reason to make them hate each other again next episode even though we’ve made slight progress in ep. 2 where Pi seems to be warming up to Mork... but tbh this whole rival plot isn’t sticking for me. Like it’s so one-sided mainly coming from Pi’s end that it becomes excessive.

I also want to point out that there are so many useless scenes like Duean in the bathroom and the whole dentist scenes just look like they didn’t know how to fill an episode with a storyline that they put unnecessary filler to be funny and I honestly skimmed through it cuz it was unnecessary.

In regards to the est cola scene... how is Pi sitting outside by himself in the scorching hot sun after having a heat stroke the day before lol

am i the only one that thinks that would be more interesting if tian had put a little more effort into searching…
Well to be fair the novel version didn’t focus on Turfon at all iirc. They actually gave more to turfun in the series for added dramatic effect

Wait,I just went thru the comment section and do I watch this or not?
Yes but don’t expect too much. Actors are cute and intimate scenes are good too. Writing and plot is a hit or miss

I actually really liked the first episode and I enjoyed phuwin’s acting as the nerdy Pi and I’m glad to see him acting with Neo again, this time time as brothers (after the disaster that was My Tee lol). But I must say Pond as Mork was a big surprise to me as I don’t think I’ve seen him in anything before. He is handsome and his acting is reserved yet fitting to his character who, obviously to the audience, is Pi’s secret admirer. My only concern is the message getting lost... we see how Pi wants to change and everyone telling him he should be this or that and he does mention that Mix’s character Mueng Nam should like him for the who he is (which thus far it seems like he does). But I hope that message of body positivity and loving yourself doesn’t get pushed aside and it suddenly becomes about how much better your life can be if you change yourself to appease someone else but I guess we will wait and see. Also... MIX AS A GUEST ROLE HAS ME SCREAMING! I’m still not over 1000 stars so to see him in another show so soon makes me happy and idk if it’s just me but he steals the scenes he’s in every time. I love him so much // cries//

The green screen took me out ????. That driving scene was Funny
Yeah honestly that green screen was distracting me from the great acting of e two characters. I wish they would have done that scene in the cafe instead

I actually really like the first 2 episode! Even though it seems low budget all the actors are great and I love the story line! Definitely going places that Lovely Writer ir afraid to go
On Lovely Writer Apr 7, 2021
Ok this episode was better than the last and I thought the story about Teenage Gene and chibi Nubsib was lighthearted and adorable (although a bit odd but it wasn’t sexualized situation so I gave it a pass). I give this episode high marks on the intimate scenes and kissing scenes which where 10/10! Especially the scenes where Nubsib is dotting over Gene and touching his face I swear it’s like he’s touching my face too * blushes *. The only place I give the episode low marks is the script. At times the dialogue is over simplified and lacks depth... like the situation with the dolls... why did Gene ask Sib to play with him if he was just gonna sit there and bang those two dolls heads together the whole time? I found it odd like I miss the significance of the dolls to Gene and why he got mad when Sib was calling his name for 5 minutes and he completely ignored him. Even later on when Sib was explaining why he lied... it was just waved away by him saying “I just didn’t want to be a brother to you” and Gene went from being mad with rage to a love sick puppy in just mere seconds. But honestly I think this episode was needed so we could move on from their past and focus on the story between them that involves the BL industry and how their careers will affect their relationship. I guess the director just wanted to breeze through their past baggage so we could move on to the actual story. So now that that’s over I look forward to seeing how the story will progress. Hopefully the writing improves

I actually friggin' cried with the coffee one. Tian making a second cup for his Phu and taking it to the table...…
I couldn’t help but compare it to the last episode of Lovely Writer which also had a drink commercial shoehorned into but that one was definitely cringe and not smooth. Like the way the did it in TOTS was just perfect and you know what I WANT TO BUY THE COFFEE NIOW.
