Overall, it was ok, cute and fluffy. But it could have been cut down on halt if we cut the incredible amount of unnecessary flashbacks

Ossan's Love really set the standart for Japanese BL and I'm soooo glad for it.

It definitely wasn’t flopping, it had pretty steady growing ratings (higher than KinnPorsche for exemple). Maybe the channel was expecting more buzz around it but they hardly promoted it.

But yeah, it was chopped a few weeks before the finale.

They had. I don’t know who said they couldn’t change a bit when a ton was (mainly cause the book is more political). The order of the book is different, but the story is mostly the same.

The director didn’t changed the ending cause the truly likes the novel’s ending LOL

In the specific case of the stuff you complain, it wasn’t the novel’s fault. There’s no side GL couple at the end and the novel is written in chronological order, so we get Tarn first, Tofu later and the line “I married you long time ago” is from the series.
