Now I'm worried. Green seriously needs to be saved from Dim. The fact that he attempts to lay hands on Green,…
They seemed so abusive to each other on this episode... On ep1 I found somehow cute all the bickering, but all these implication of one beating the other and the other manipulating and being over controlling left me shook. These kind of things being treated as a joke it’s a big no. Unless this is another misunderstanding they’ll explain latter.
On 2gether, I believe it was a shallow translation cause Dim hurts Green emotionally cause green thinks he’s been cheated, not physically, but that wasn’t clear on the translation. But on this follow up thing are getting messy...
When an author does a limited work for a trageted audience is one thing, when her novel is adapted into a series…
If women are entitled to be offended by the so called men’s fantasy about lesbian porn, so are gay men on their right to find the romanticization of rape women do on BL offensive. When you write a fanfic for you group of friends is one thing, when you stand by these kind of works on the media is another. Actually there’s no problem on the fantasy of the straight guy falling for another, i don’t see how that a parallel with romanticizing a rape to allow the start of a relationship. It’s the same terrible argument some people use to defend slap and kiss. If it was with a straight couple, would you be ok with a guy drugging the girl to rape her and make her falling in love with him? And no matter how some fans of BL try to say, you can’t separate completely from LGBT. Yes, they are different, but they overlap and BL is no longer a secret thing you could do for a niche market, specially series. Just as BL mangas have evolved so much from what was written on the 90s, Thai BL should too and this kind of argument (oh, it’s a fantasy, you should respect us fantasizing of a violent crime on a minority cause we can’t write about ourselves being raped cause it’s too much) should not be used anymore. If you agree with this kind of justification, just keep it for yourself, please.
When an author does a limited work for a trageted audience is one thing, when her novel is adapted into a series…
I understood what you said, but saying that it’s ok rape between men is disturbing. It make us gay people second class citizens on your speech, so please be careful while saying that around.
When an author does a limited work for a trageted audience is one thing, when her novel is adapted into a series…
My whole point was that when we're talking about books, movies and mangas, we are talking about a restric audience. When we talk about TV series is another thing. We can't pretend that it's ok for these stuff to be on open television.
I have to say that you made me REALLY unconfortable while narrating how unconfortable it's for women to see rape written by a man at the same time you justify a woman fantasy of seeing a man raping another. I won't go through this, cause I do believe that some kinks can have their space (not on mainstream media) but please be more careful while saying these kind of things.
Plus: what makes me really hate the work of this author is how she doesn't acknowledge what she writes and how offensive it is to adapt the way she adapt into series. As a consequence, their followers buy her explanation and deffend that as a real case, not as a fantasy. Always these really actions are with a romantic or comedy tone attached to . Most mangakas and thai BL authors know what is wrong with their material, stand by them being written for specific audiences (some magakas even say they create more disturbing stuff that they wouldn't write regularly when the magazine they're writing is aiming that public), but when licenzed to become a series/movie, they allow other people or even themselves tone down their works, cause a broader audience will see it.
So, for this series and TharnType, I believe all the criticism is valid. I like movies with dark themes such as Double Mints, Dangerous Drugs of Sex or completly disfunctional stories such as Mood Indigo, but if you watched these three works I mentioned, you'll see a HUGE difference while they depict these themes.
so many people gravitating towards this kind of entertainment while at the same time not understanding the difference…
When an author does a limited work for a trageted audience is one thing, when her novel is adapted into a series being showcased worldwide easily accessable is different.
This is a huge discution among japanese BL mangakas. They make a work for a limited amount of people, that to access you have to go through a lot of warning pages, then it is showed on line on pirate sites that any teen can access. They don't agree that these works should be accessable to everyone.
There's a intense debate on Thailand about the romantization of rape on TV there. MAME is known for being unapologetic about her work and while she can be while she's talking to her audience through books, but we're talking about television. It's not a movie that has restrictions for entering the theater to watch. Her works are avaiable easily on WeTV, LINETV.
A lot of thai BL authors have acknowledged that some contents shouldn't be adapted into series, but even after being heavily bashed by critics, Mame still think it's fine to present her works without toning down the books and she has done till now.
This is not censorship. You can depict abusive relationships and rape, even stockholm syndromes, but please don't aestheticized these situations or treat them as comedy or as romantic such as we've seen on TharnType and Love By Chance. The problem is not what is shown, but HOW things are shown on her shows.
That trailer was heavy as f*ck. I didn't recall how creepy was all that incestuous and rapey thing about the side couples... And we'll have Tin's Brother story which is even worse.
I might take a look cause I'm really interested on seen Perth's acting, he's been given a lot to work on.
We were all waiting for something soft, and we got this hahahaha
I think there would be a lot less drama on here if we just admit that this series has flaws. I consider myself…
I believe most 2gether fans acknowledge its flaws. But people who hate this series/comapny/actors keep coming back here just to bash and this is tiring.
We all know what accounts are giving fair criticism and people who are here just to talk how lame, how much they hate or how overrated this series is.
Ok. Just want to gently point out there is a difference between rape and drunk sex. As we saw, James actually…
I like to cross a line between drunk sex and rape, but it's recurring on BLs giving us dubious consent secenes with alcohool involved.
Imagine if this was with a girl, people would probabily call it rape, but when it's bl people tend to be more tolerant...
Its 2020, we don't need more of these on this shows. They can showcase both of them awake while starting the sexual act, no need to put botherline rapey scenes on the shows. Specially in Thailand, where women has been so vocal agaisnt these kind of representation.
Does anyone has a reliable source of how manny episodes this will have? I've seen people saying its 10, 9, 8, 6, but none showed an article on naver or a post by the company or any official streaming sites.
I understand this point of view, but people here give high scores to series that have steamy scenes even if the plot is a mess or was aired without finishing shooting, while they're picky with series that showcase little intimacy. For example: it's completely absurd Why R U having the same score that His I dindt think I would Fall in Love has. One is a really good show, very well acted and scripted, the other is a hot mess where nothing makes sense sold as soft porn for straight girls.
Thats true hahaha There are some shows out there that cover up the messy direction/plot and bad acting with steamy scenes. It's unfair these series to recieve "kind" ratings just cause of that.
People here only care about kissing and making out. If there's a hot kissing scene people will rate the show high even if it wasnt even finished shooting and the plot makes no sense or if it has an extremely offensive/problematic plot. If the show doesn't have, even if it's almost perfect, they'll rate it with a just ok score.
The movie is BEAUTIFUL! Quite heavy actually. All of them have to deal with the incosequences of each other, but…
I liked what they chose for the ending. It's a happy realistic ending for this story. I would have liked it more if it was a fairy tale? Yes, but I believe that this ending would have turn Nagisa's ex into a plain villain. The way the film was done showed the flaws on all characthers and all the institutional homphobia Japan has and still was able to give them a happy ending.

People will complain about every smallest thing, but I loved it all. <3

Amazing acting and writting. I'm really looking forward to the movie and to see these 2 together next to each other.
