So this is the duo’s comeback after *“Love Alarm”* (2019). I honestly don’t see how they could possibly…
I thought he was brilliant in 'Navillera' which seemed underated by a lot of people, loved him in 'My Demon' but didn't like him in 'Nevertheless' - preferred the Japanese actor in the j-drama version.

like fr I can't believe ppl still hate her for her role in love alarm it was totally not her fault she did what…
Really liked her in Lovely Liar

That weight was for Marry My Husband and she really looked very thin. It doesn't say what weight she got down…
I'd be curious to know whether the Japanese actress in the jdrama MMH Felt the need to lose eight? FL was brilliant in that and whilst most Asian actors are very slim she didn't look like she dieted for the role - and she was brilliant in it.

Person Yun Ji On
There’s something about Yun Ji On that is so unique, charming, and attractive. He has this warmth and quiet…
Liked him too in Love Next Door actually preferred his 'couple' than the main one!

I had understood it the same as you and couldn't understand how anyone could be charged sitting on a parked motorbike but obviously it was unfortunately more than that.. Shame as I like his acting..

FL is driving me crazy!
Well we'll see aside the age gap - it makes me feel old! But I'm glad to hear that in the original Manga Ninako felt more authentic than in this... I get that most mangas aren't meant to be realistic/true to life but even in the manga environment they should be believable/authentic to that genre.

FL is driving me crazy!
Hi Hime well I'm retired so it's quite a while since I was a teenager - and then we had single-sex schools (so definitely not modern!) I understand your point about Ninako not being passive but I suppose I found her behaviour passive: the passive looks etc which didn't feel true/authentic.. (might be a cultural thing she reminded me of the rookie nurse in 'An Incurable case of love"). Another series had a FL who was really shy with Sara Minami 'From me to you" which felt authentic and she wasn't being coy.. Ren to be honest I think even when I was a teenager I wouldn't have bothered 'chasing'him... It was really hard to understand a) why she fell in love with him b) what he found attractive about her... I feel that teenagers nowadays are way more sophisticated than my generation which is probablly why I found their relationship not realistic. (I know these shows aren't meant to be realistic but there has to be something to make a couple: chemistry etc) Well I suppose I've gone off the subject! At least we agree about AO Haru Ride !

FL is driving me crazy!
Well to be honest I found the other couple's relationships more mature than Ninako/Ren's. As I've said I've never read the manga and it's been a while since I was in high school (so admittedly I am not the market this is aiming at) that being said I didn't agree with Ren's behaviour throughout and found it hard to believe in their relationship: there was a lack of communication/transparency and honesty between them (often to lying to themselves) . I suppose the other issue is a cultural one (and perhaps a generational one): but where I grew up very few girls would confess to a boy directly: probably for the obvious reason of fear of rejection/embarrassment etc but that's what it was like: confessing to someone who already has a girlfriend is definitely not on. Having watch AO Haru Ride at the same time I preferred the FL role there. But each to their own.

No it’s just from the same author. But saw the preview too it’s featured them in this drama but in the manga…
Oh thanks for that info - just finished both but preferred AO Haru Ride FL than the one in this one... though I'm guessing all characters are based on the mangas...

Just finished it and really had enough of her! I guess it's based on a manga hence the scenes where she says nothing and opens her eyes wide but gosh I'm glad I'm done with it!

Title Strobe Edge Season 2 Spoiler
You know you’re watching too many BL’s if you think Ando and Ren should be the ones to get together 😜
FL is driving me crazy!

Yeah I agree with you. I love them as a couple and honestly would be okay with them being back together. And that…
Oh now I understand- I don't watch too many action movies. First jdrama watched was with Takeru Satoh now one of my favourite actors) in Incurable Case of love (loved all cast except FL ) I understand some roles are exaggerated as based on mangas but have seen her in other things and always same expressions) Then First Love which was fabulous (introduced me to Hikaru Utada) and the list got longer. When I show mylist of what I've watched to my Japanese hairdresser she aays I've watched more than her🤣 Have recently discovered BL and some of them are beautifully made. Have ventured into kdramas and have seen some excellent series with goid acting but quite different to jdramas for me as a newbie. Think I'm in this club for a long time🤣

Review Then You Try Making It! Spoiler
oh loved a calm sea and beautiful days with you. Most of the acting in jdramas I find understated. no backstabbing, lots of communication, often solidarity among women etc. Just finished this today and was secretly hoping they'd get back together but I think the risk would be that Katsuo would still try to advise Ayumi even if noe he's aware of how he behaved before. Relatively new to jdramas but love them. Hadn't see male lead in anything else but looking forward to 10dance

thanks for your review totally agree with it.Also felt slightly guilty not thanking my partner of 26 years - long term relationships we perhaps forget to tell the other person how we appreciate them. what i love about jdramaa is that there is very little female backstabbing , more often support which I think is great.

Totally agree love jdramas always emphasise communication. Sometimes just wish they were a little longer or maybe another episode or two.love that most characters are realistic no over acting or 16 episodes that aren't necessary.

I think it is and that's a good thing. I'm watching another jdrama series called "Then you try making it" about a guy who can't cook critiquing his girlfriends cooking he proposes and she refuses. Some of his colleagues told him he was like a "fossil" with his old-fashioned ideas of masculinity/role of women. (Which of course he learned from his parents) it's interesting to see how it turns out!
