Definitely education of both young men and women essential. Hopefully things get better but education at an early age is essential.

Oh definitely- that's a struggle that still needs to be taught - preferably at school and not by the religious!! Being much older than most jdrama fans social media didn't exist during my youth! Sadly it exists in most cultures- I grew up in a country where science subjects were mostly taught in boys schools... all part of the same problem: machismo/boys don't cry passive women etc

Yes shame doesn't happen often enough. watched a documentary about a Japanese female journalist and her sexual harassment experiences horrendous she tries to teach young women about boundaries and consent seems not always fully understood . That's why the FL in that kdrama was so unique!

oh would SO love for this to happen in a jdrama! Probably closest was FL in kdrama "Love to hate you" - was my first kdrama naively thought all FL would be like her

I stated that producers choose who they want - that doesn't assume based on their personal relationships with actors. Entertainment worldwide is full of actors chosen by producers for whatever reason that's how things work. Doesn't always mean that viewers always agree with those choices.

It's my opinion - I think there are much better actresses but producers choose eho they want. To each their own .

I'll try re-watching it if I can ! Still find FL not as focused on her art as she's meant to. FL in Japanese version more realistic and for me better actor

Totally agree I think he's got the acting stills and versatility which I hope he gets the opportunity to show us. He seems to take his acting very seriously but very friendly with other actors: saw z"making of" "My Demon" were he brought birthday cake for FL actress. Navillera was magnificent- story wonderful and so sad about dementia but wonderful interaction between him and older actors. I'm looking forward to finding out what else he chooses to do. Liked him in "Nevertheless " but found FL very irritating so from my point of view preferred the Japanese version as actress was more realistic and actually seemed to create some art rather than since around pouting and moaning! But back to Song Kang would be interested to see him in a period piece or real comedy to show his acting chops!

Oh I think he played the character very well very arrogant at thr beginning until things changed, great chemistry with female lead. Feel Navillera never got the recognition that it should have perhaps because it wasn't a romantic series?

yes "Sealed with a kiss" where she had a very stalker like colleague "protecting" her.

Thought he was fabulous in Nevertheless and love him in 'My Demon'

have to agree with you on FL - have seen her in a few things and always plays acts the same. Can't understand why she's considered a good actress. Just rematches Japanese "Marry my husband " and reluctant to watch Korean version as FL is in it.

Thanks for your review - I love Takeru Satoh so am biased. The FL i hadn't seen in anything else and found her amazing. Haven't watched the Korean version yet as don't like the FL actress. I must admit being relatively new to jdramas and kdramas have become a bit more focused on jdramas with their understated style of acting and more realistic characters.

Thanks for your great review I'd started watching this then realised Leo Matsumoto was the barman in "I cannot reach yiu" - brilliant in this. Dead fish kissing isn't unfortunately only limited to BL dramas. Saw another jdrama series recently where I laughed when one very pushy bride threw her bouquet and none of the women wanted to pick it up!
