yeah so far this one better than wrtw in my opinion
Agreed. The quality of this script and the director deserves an award. All the little details in this show are very well thought out. I really enjoyed WRTW as well, but LLTG is drama of the year for me.

is ling buyis mother faking her sickness? is she good or bad person
His current "mother" being shown is actually his aunt, who was married to his "dad" who is actually his uncle. I think she's good... and might be faking her sickness? Not 100% sure. LBY's actual parents are dead.
I thought at first he was being annoying because he loves her (remember in the episode when the man was telling…
I think he does like her, but the way he's showing it is so childish. It's like when you're in elementary school and you have a crush on someone but end up making fun of them and insulting them all the time to either cover up your feelings or get their attention. So dumb lol.
I couldn't agree more. I was really annoyed by all the LY and CSS scenes and how long they lasted, but I still…
I definitely still don't ship them, but was surprised they managed to pull some emotions out of me at that moment. Thought I'd be jumping for joy hahaha.
I think we'll get at least a few, because the revenge arc happens 3 days before they're supposed to get married,…
Darn.. was considering reading the novel too but if the translations aren't great I may pass. Really wish they would properly translate some of these popular dramas haha.
I'd like to point out how this drama does a lovely job of keeping the annoying characters to a minimum. I get that every story/drama needs to have an antagonist and some angst, but I think they've done a good job of nipping it in the bud before it's being over done. LOVED how the Lord Ruyang stuck it to Lady Ruyang and Princess Yuchang.
Even with LY, I was never a huge fan of him with CSS and started to get annoyed of the episodes with them two. Somehow the show still managed to get me a little emotional during their breakup scene.
I really hope this continues in Part 2 as I'm sure there will be a lot more angst ahead.
(The only exception might be YS because someone needs to punch that guy already and cut him out of the story 🤣... I know he'll play an important part later on though so I keep telling myself they are just building up his character and background).
When I saw first trailers for LLTG , I was so confused because first one was extremely funny (then I started worry…
Agreed! The trailers were a bit confusing and I wasn't sure what to expect, but I think it's the first drama in a while where they've done a great job of mixing in all types of emotion. I love the type of humor here too.. it's more of a dry humor than stupid silly. Much more realistic and cleverly thought out.
Just saw on Twitter that Part 2 may not air until September because they’re not done with any post production?! Please tell me that’s not true ðŸ˜
Is anyone else as excited to see WQQ and CS's story develop? Thought their interactions in the last few episodes, esp ep 22 were hilarious. Also the scene where CSG is reading her fortune and says her love is right under her nose and she asks "where?!" all while CS is just smirking.
I have to say WL has some magic in his acting, it's his eyes, his expressions...I find I have to keep rewatching…
WL has always been such a great actor, but I feel like he really gave attention to every little detail in this role. I loved his role in TLB too but I think his character had a lot more obvious expressions there, which he did really well with as well. I often find it harder to play the "cool and cold" characters since you really need to do it without coming off too stiff. He's done a great job IMO.
