Cultivating or something

List done better than the C-Drama one, where all you could see was "Ashes of Love" and "Meteor Garden" all over it. I mean, "The Smile Has Left Your Eyes" is all over on this list, but at least 2nd and 3rd places are included.

I haven't seen The Dark Lord, but I also preferred Ever Night to Ashes of Love overall. I did really enjoy Ashes…
Also the synopsis on kisskh for The Dark Lord only covers about the first 12 episodes. Everything after that (especially the three last ones) are completely unexpected, so don't worry about setting high expectations :P

Watch The Dark Lord when you can, it's really worth it once the story and plot starts unravelling (around episode 3-4, everything before is mostly character introduction).

Mushy romance, hot kisses, wrapped around limbs in steamy love scenes and eye-cancer creating CGI...no one will…
I did enjoy Ashes of Love, but personally also find it over-rated. (Though I do disagree with the CGI, which is done better than multiple series, even though I do kind of hate it myself lol.) In my opinion Ever Night tops Ashes of Love in multiple things.

I love Ashes of Love too but god, really? It's a bit over-rated at this point ain't it~ There's other gold too like Ever Night (which in my opinion exceeds Ashes of Love in multiple things) and The Dark Lord (that isn't the same genre as Ashes of Love so I can't compare really).
Edit: Or at least include the top 3 right? I mean, most people on kisskh are here to find new dramas, so introduce them to the top 3 dramas of that genre, so they have more options.

Ahhhhh, Wu Lei won't be back for season 2. Apparently this got bad reviews in China, so he won't be reprising the male lead if there is a season 2. (how did it get bad reviews in China?)
On Leo Wu Feb 4, 2019
Person Leo Wu
He needs more rolessssssssssssssssssss
(Am I the only one hoping that if Ashes of Love season 2 is about their children, that he'll play the main lead? xD )
lmao, each continuation of the series has a new cast (usually with A-list actors), yet we are supposed to believe they are the same characters throughout all series. Nothing against it, just find it might be a bit ... "distracting". Like you finish The Lost Tomb 2, and you're like "Okay, let's see what happens after the cliffhanger!" *clicks season 3* "Oh wait, who's that?" and then you remember the fact the cast changes.

Personally, it was pretty well done. Not exceptional, but I liked it. And unlike some others, I find that Ma Ke is a really good actor, and he was a right decision for the main lead.

I'm just really surprised someone actually took the time to read that--
And yea, I have set a standard based on the first two episodes, hopefully it's good!
