What a cool idea :D And I completely agree on Byung Hee, I dropped SUFBB afterwards and eventually decided not to come back. He should get a whole other drama for himself. I'd watch it. I'd watch three dramas with him. GIVE ME BACK MY BYUNG HEE!
Liked him in Maou, loved him in Kagi no kakkata heya, and was on the fence if to watch Kaibutsu-kun. Now I think I will. I think I couldn't say that he's a great actor, but his roles suit him very well and that's what makes it amazing to watch him in dramas.

And I can easily see if you add new actors to the cast, so you can skip adding that to notes :) I have troubles only when changing role or character type of already included actor. I actually have some guidelines written, you can read them here http://mydramalist.com/forum/showthread.php?3199-Guidelines-for-submitting-database-info&p=319812&viewfull=1#post319812
And thank you for your input, these are simply some advice to save our both time :)

Hi, approval staff here. In the actors info, you don't need to repeat their name if it's the same as their real name. It's only if it differs from the birth name.

Hi, approval staff here. Do you have the source for The Other Shore 1945 airing date?

Kazoku Game is already in the database: http://mydramalist.com/korean-drama/6068/kazoku-game
It was submitted by someone else and I approved it some 3min before you submitted :))
Don't think I'm interested in these movies (I've become quite picky lately), but what a great idea to feature only Chinese ones, I do agree that other countries need more attention.

I'm pretty sure that the manga was first. That's usually the way it goes. It's finished, but the translation's not, so I'm annoyed :D Death Tube? Will have to search for it, but if you're not recommending, then I probably will listen to that ;)
I missed Harry Borrisson/Kang Hyung Joon from Missing You in the "revengists" part. But hell yeah, great idea.

It's probably a bug. They should appear in the actors section though, http://mydramalist.com/actors/recent , at least mostly they do. But I think it takes a bit time to find them through search when they have been just added to the database.
A short note: if the actor's name is his real name, you don't need to add it twice. I mean, "real name/real native name" are needed only in those cases, when the main name we know that actor by and his real name differ.

I have read part of Lord of the Flies, and I don't think Battle Royale is a rip-off. Yes, the boys in LOTF were cruel to each other, but their survival was natural, while all these are forced survival games. Which makes the whole concept at least to me, very different. But I haven't read the whole LOTF, so I dunno.
From survival type, I've seen also The Incite Mill [which, to me, was even more similar to Battle Royale than Hunger Games, cause everyone also had their own individual weapon] and Ousama Game. I have started reading Ousama Game manga, but even though it's finished releasing, it's not finished translating, and the translators seem to be on a hiatus or something >__<

I think such annoyances for me started with Harry Potter. Kind of. I mean, now whatever there is in adventure/fantasy genre, everyone is saying that that's a rip-off of Harry Potter. While on the other hand, HP itself is actually not that original [though still brilliant]. But that's kinda another topic :)
I have read and seen Hunger Games and I loved it and I do agree that Battle Royale is much alike, BUT: even if Hunger Games author took the idea from Battle Royale - why is that bad? She took a general idea and made her own story around it. Yes, it might not be super original, but it's not a rip-off either.

I actually hate that many people are going "oh, it's survival, so it's like Battle Royale". Or "it's like Hunger Games then". Well, yes, it is like those, because it's a survival. But one should realise it's simply the same genre/main concept and shut up and watch it or not. But come on, you don't go and say that about every romance drama, even though there are many more same features among the plenty of romances.
