yes, true. but I can't help but compare it to Pursuit of Jade, which had a similar lead relationship at the start and when their breakup came along, it felt very genuine. whereas here, I suppose it's still one sided.
rewatching this now a while later it strikes me how each relationship XiaoYao has is so genuine. You can really feel the emotion through the screen. In my opinion, she has the most chemistry with Xiang Lu and the most love for Cang Xuan.
Although this drama is really enjoyable, I think it's missing a hint of genuineness in the leads feeling for the main character. All of them, particularly the male lead, just fell for her sort of quickly without enough time for us to feel investment in their relationship.
I love this drama.. was recovering from some exams and needed something warm and lighthearted- this pulled me thru while still being engaging. its raining here and in the drama and i cozied up in bed and itwas so nice. 10/10
